but if enough books go under and enough gamblers get stiffed this will give the anti internet gambling forces more ammunition than anything else. senator kyle will be holding hearings telling americans that "internet gambling operations are disappearing and scamming out citizens" and turn it into a CONSUMER PROTECTION issue.

Au contraire, mon frere. It would show that we need this shlt legalized so there can be safeguards built in to protect the consumer. Well, that's my logic anyway. I'm not sure how idiots like Kyl and his cronies think.

Already the opinion. This is the exact reason my Senator used as a response to me a year ago in a letter. To protect citizens against rogue operations.

Darryl, that is a very logical conclusion, but as you stated-Kyl & his boys will NEVER see it that way.

Realistically, they will do nothing but make it sound like as much of an outlaw business as they can......despite to massive taxation potential.

Imo you can forget about the anti gambling forces. If people keep getting stiffed and books keep going under you will not have to worry about those who oppose internet gambling people will just stop sending their hard earned money to foreign countries.I have never been stiffed but I know people have been and more than once.At what point do you ask yourself is it really worth it?It is a black eye to this industry every time it happens.People often say the days of the local bookie are gone.I don't think just yet.

If this type of crap continues with the offshore books - Senator Kyle will be right.

It really is turning into a CONSUMER PROTECTION issue.
I also feel that it will never be legalized atleast not in any state that has pro and collage teams.
Now somebody will post a list of the 10 safest books"They have deep pockets".Does this make your money safe...I always thought so...not anymore!
Less juice and line shopping is why i play offshore.Im just a bettor looking for a little edge.I don't bet for a living, maybe i am better off finding a couple of local books without having to post up cash.
No more funny looks from WU clerks.
Also you never know if the day will come that netteller will give my info to the US govt.

Maybe I am just mad as i sit here wondering if i will ever get my balance from PAN AM.And i am one of the lucky ones that received a payout from them on tues[2k]after a bunch of calls, e-mails and more calls!!!!

I feel better now.....GL>>>winning and collecting

Maybe the republicans are really the blight on the industry that flocks to the new books draining them of resources,

so they can make it a consumer protection issue.:p
