JMan,

I wish you wouldn't have posted that. It reminds me of when Sports Illustrated featured them in their Baseball opening issue as the favorite to win the World Series. Another hex on the Sox. Aaaaaaaagggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh.

I might even have to play some props for the Orioles now.

8-5 is a joke. Baseball is more about cameraderie than buying players. I mean, yes, talent is important, but if they dont gel, they won't win with all superstars.

I believe that any sportsbook offering futures, should also offer futures TO NOT win the whole thing and have it within REASONABLE odds of the team winning.

For example:

If a book put up the RED SOX at 8/5 to win it all, they should offer bettors the oppurtunity to NOT win it all and lay 2-1.

In simpler terms, the above scenario would equate to this on the moneyline for the Red Sox to win it all........

YES +160
NO -200

Saying the RedSox would be a 8/5 favorite is an absolute JOKE by ESPN!!

The true odds would be at LEAST triple that!!

If I ran an offshore sportsbook, I would have a YES and NO line up on the top 10 teams to individually win the title.

RED SOX

YES +550
NO -650

5 DIME LIMIT
