To keep the contest simple for everyone, we will continue using TheRx Live Line Service for this contest...that means you can shop for the best price for each play...When entering your play simply specify where the line was offered, it must be one of the books TheRx offers (on its live lines feed)

$$$$$ A JOURNEYMAN PRODUCTION $$$$$

Sponsored by www.PlayersSuperbook.com

Each player will be required to pick 10 plays per week , for a total of 5 weeks (50 total plays) The top 4 finish "In The Money"

Prize money will be distributed as follows...$1,200(1st) -$900(2nd) -$600(3rd) -$500(4th)

NO EDITING!!! An edited post will not count! NO EXCEPTIONS....This way a player cannot purposely go opposite someone else... All plays must be posted before official game time....

Wins will count as 2 points, ties 1 point, losses 0 points...

NBA and NCAA basketball sides and totals (for the full game) will be allowed for this contest...No halftimes, quarters, or prop bets... FULL GAMES ONLY (sides or totals, either college or pro)

You can mix and match your plays however you like (NBA or COLLEGE) and play all 10 or just 1-2 plays at a time, but no more than 10 per week PLEASE!

We just finished a contest where all participants did a wonderful job of following the rules, hopefully this will be just as good!

Good Luck to the 16 players, 4 will walk away with CA$H!

Thanks to www.PlayersSuperbook.com for the generous contest !

I suggest two rules to make things fair and prevent angle-shooting or misunderstandings...

1) A single edited post in the picks thread is an automatic zero score for the week.

I think this is important because let's say there is an unfavorable line change and someone figures they'll just edit the post to disqualify it so they don't have to keep the bad bet. Edits don't happen by accident so it would be hard to imagine someone being wrongly penalized, assuming they know the rule from the start. An alternative would be a 2 point deduction and a warning for the first offence and an automatic zero for the second.

2) No picks accepted on which the payout is lower than -110. Sometimes you'll see all the lines at -2.5 -107 and Pinnacle at -2 -115, say (which is almost exactly the same but looks different), and so taking that team at -2 in this contest format is unfair imo. We'll reduce the contest to hunting for such lines rather than real handicapping if we don't make such a rule.

What do y'all think?

Darryl- doing this would open a whole new can of worms....its too late to change now, I think you make great points but EVERYONE has the same option this way...

Editing IMO in a contest should never happen but, we have seen this from time to time thats why I say DO NOT EDIT... Its too late to get opinions on this the contest starts tomorrow and no on is around tonight it seems....It should not be a big issue since everyone will have the same lines to view....If its offered on the live lines it will be accepted, its just a piece of strategy thats all....The best way to do this is to keep it as simplified as possible when we`re dealing with this many people...Hard enough trying to get these contests running without making them more complicated ...

Great oppurtunity for the early birds that found their way into this contest!!

Good luck to all participants.

Special thanks to PLAYERS SUPERBOOK for their sponsorship and to Journeymen for this great idea that has been implemented.

OK Journey, it's no problem for me, but I was hoping for a handicapping contest rather than a line-watching contest. Again, it's a gift horse so I'm not about to complain. Just thought I'd make a suggestion to make it a better experience for all.

I'm assuming we can make multiple posts each day in this thread, as long as the posts follow the rules, use correct lines as described, and are posted prior to game time - all without editing a posted play? Or do we have to make one post for all games picked per day? Thanks...just want to do things correctly. Thanks again for the opportunity.
