I would hope that it is far more than 75,000 as I know some people that have no life and spend most of their time looking at a screen. I would much rather work a 9 to 5 with a guaranteed 60,000 than work an unknown amount of hours for 75,000. Not worth it IMO.

I think as much as they want. Trouble is they get booted and cause non sharps to get booted.

Seriously if they sit and watch the screen 12 hours a day 7 days a week the income is almost unlimited.

Average annual income $3000; hours of enjoyable involvement 4380; sports packages on cable TV $659; preseason sports magazines $80; computer ink and paper $250; one statistical service for bases $150; Don Best Express $1188; 14 cents an hour won and not earned; priceless.

PS. I have discontinued DonBest [thank you lander]. Just this one adjustment projected out for 2004 should net me 41 cents an hour won not earned; really priceless.

Depends on his bankroll. If he plays higher and produces, he can name how much he makes.

The best sharps make a lot of money by using other people's money to create a very strong organization. After all a good sharp can't hit enough books simultaneously to get favorable numbers so having people betting for him and having investors backing him for more than he has greatly aids his returns.

Are you insinuating that one can chase steam and write his own paycheck?

WildBill has a very true & accurate post, his insight is always stout, but just as I've said before, sharps come in all sizes, shapes, and colors..and the answer doesn't have an median number.

It is relative to how sharp one is, how much in the know one is, what size bankroll, shopping options available, one's MO(gambler or grinder),etc..many variables.

Besides after a certain point, the best sharps have to almost become a "Bookmaker's bookmaker", or hire an army of people, or go in bed with stick-up artists, or go Offshore as an start-up Book..to be able to impale enough mullets to make it relative for them any longer.
