Fish, I'm too lazy to look it up right now. I know in general games land on 5 or under something like 21% of the time, they land on 14 and over almost 19% of the time. These numbers stood out because I thought they were high at one time.

When you narrow it down to games lined at and land only on 5 then obviously the %'s change. If I get done eating this steakburger I will look it up for you sir if no one else has......

Well 5 is the most common final goals total in the NHL and also the most common total posted for betting so my guess would be 20%-30%.

I am guessing somewhere between 15-21% but would like exact figures.

Patrick dont feel bad. I swear when I first read the post I thouhgt Fish was talking about 5 in football. Like a game ending 15 to 10, for example.

Anyway to answer the question using hockey as the sport I can only go along with the consensus, and say somewhere between 18 and 22 percent of the time will a game with a total of 5 land on 5. I have given a lot of thought to hockey totals over the years, with not a lot of success. These days juice has become much more of a factor than say 10 years ago. Many books are hesitant to move off a number, instead move juice to sometime (imo) ridiculas numbers. Like 5 over minus 45 or 50, how can you not think twice about taking the big plus juice side of a bet like that?

wil.
