If you're looking for some very basic stats and an overview or two of the big games, I suppose that it's okay.

Beyond that, no-it's not exactly the greatest resource for info.

Are you talkin abou their forum or other info? ATheir stats and other stuff is frankly better than RX. A forum is as good as the posters and covers used to have better posters than it now does (I should know). In any case, it definitely still has MORE posting than here, though the average poster there is not as sharp as here.

kiss1, perhaps you are right that the terminology was wrong. However, I just can't seem to understand what is good about that site as I have gone there extensively and really found little value. Once again, over-rated joke may have been a poor choice of words.

Perhaps you can leave us a link to a site with more meaningful gambling sports related stats and explain why it's more relavant than the data found at Covers ?

I need nba logs that don't take me 30 minutes to extricate. I would like projected starters for all imminent nba games. that is just off the top of my head after a few beers. Believe me, they could do a lot better.

I check their site EVERYDAY for the matchups. No reason to bash the site. The matchups appear to be second to none to me.

Or at least others are almost the exact same

Their stats are wonderful.

Their forum is a joke, filled with gimmick posters calling each pick a 5 Star Lock, and in-game threads which consist of whining over every free throw.

Ditto. Covers is good for info, but the forum is bush-league.

There is nothing wrong with a couple of in-game messages, especially during the last couple minutes. Maybe the game is going to OT, maybe a player missed an easy shot that would've covered, etc. Hell, I'm guilty of it. I just posted about Nick "get the Over in OT" Van Exel.

But do you really need 300 messages for a game? Every 20 seconds somebody is like "What's the score, what's the score?" Dude, chill out!

Then you'll see lots of posts such as "I just went 0 for 5 tonight! I only have $20 in my account. Please, I need a winner for the game that starts in six minutes!"

Too much time in that forum will drive you insane. Also, the spelling/grammar often leaves something to be desired. I don't expect people to write Ivy League material, but too many posts in that forum are full of piss-poor writing and excessive smiley faces. It feels like you're in Kindercare for degenerate gamblers.

That's why I like the Rx Forum. It is more like grad school for degenerate gamblers.

I was taught that if you can't say something nice, don't say anything.

As for their website, it's not quite as good as it used to be. Too much flashing and slower to load. I love Lou's articles, but don't care a lot for the forum.
