My first problem with Pinnacle!

I had 2200 hundred posted up with them.I bet first half GB +3 -120 for 1500,my balance after the bet was 400 and change.First half is over I win my bet looking to make a second half bet under for 2 thousand but my first half wager wasn't scored.I waited about 12 min and my bet was still pending(this is really uncalled for not scoring the game of this magnitude right away so that people can bet)I called up and told them that I wanted to place a wager on the second half under 21 +109 for 2000.The lady goes +105 because you are calling inn instead of internet.I explained to the lady the reason why I was calling but I was stuck with +105 and wasn't about to argue with a clerk.Called back this morning spoke to the manager and I got the same shit,why woudn't they credit me the $80?,I'm I wrong?,I think it is a no brainer.

I think it would be a good gesture on their part to pay you the extra $80 but I wouldn't say you have an automatic right to it. After all, you could have just placed the bet on the internet after you updated your balance on the phone, no?

Yes it would be a good gesture and the right thing to do for the customer.I coudn't bet it on the net,I waited about 15 min. how much more could i have waited before the ball gets kicked in the air?

Why didn't you just ask them over the phone to grade your bet, so you could place the bet on their website ?

Btw.. I dont think they should give you the 80 bucks.. they offered you a price on the phone, and you can say yes or no to hitting it.. Not their fault that you didn't have enough money in your account to hit it for 2 dimes, because the first wager was not graded yet.

i agree...playing it that close, you're risking situations like this. If you can afford to bet $1600 on a half, you should be able to fund your account with $4000 so you can bet the 2nd half as well w/o waiting for the first bet to be graded...

I did ask them to grade it and I 80 bucks won't affect me it is the principal,I want the RX to get me my $80.Thank you

bryan305 I understand if it is a basketball game that wasn't graded right away but a NFL playoff game with huge amounts of money should be graded right away so that the customers can continue to bet

Amazing how spoiled we have become !!

I remember just a few short years ago when most plays weren't graded until the next day. But that is besides the point.

Pinnacle offers reduced vig and solid payouts. That is all they are committed to do. If they are short staffed.....or WHATEVER....and fail to grade a play on time (albeit a big game at halftime), I would call that part of the tradeoff for the reduced vig.

IMHO they don't owe you $80.....but if you decide to withdraw your funds from them, I bet you get paid quicker than you would with any other book.

key word you are using here is "should".

"should be graded right away so that the customers can continue to bet"

you "should" have been more sure that was what they were going to do BEFORE placing most of your bankroll on one bet.

Why were you allowed to bet on the phone if your first half bet was not graded yet?.....and if it was, why did you not then place it from the internet?

You should not be wagering most all of your account on 1 bet, because it ties your money up. As for the $80 bucks why even worry about it. And if you made the phone wager then the line was +105 and not +109. They could have told you that they couldn't take the bet until the 1st half was actually graded.

Dead on - When you excepted the bet at +105 you pretty much sealed your fate. Still The Rx. will send a link of this thread to Pinnacle for you. One of the moderators will advise you what their reply is.

the important question is...why did you not hang up the phone & place it online? if she was able to place your bet over the phone she must have graded your bet so that the funds were in the account?

Or did she allow your funds to go into overdraft knowing the bet had won but not been graded yet?

If it was a situation where she allowed it to go into overdraft & your only option in this case was over the phone...then I agree...it would be a nice cx service gesture...

Sure the books should try to do their best to grade the bets correctly, however, I do not see anywhere on their site that they guarrantee this...obviously they want to as it menas more bets for them...but they dont guarantee it so you cannot really blame them can you?
