UPDATE ON ROYAL SPORTS...

As many of you already know by now, there have been some complaints of slow pays and no pays over the past few weeks regarding ROYAL SPORTS and their affiliate books, GA & LAY107.

Today, The Major and I spoke with the new Marketing Director at Royal Sports, (named "Richard"), about this situation. While Richard GUARANTEED that all customers would be paid, he was unwilling to give us any time frame as to WHEN this would happen!

He confirmed that ROBERTO is no longer involved in any capacity with Royal Sports, but when asked about WHO actually was behind ROYAL SPORTS, he said' no comment." On a positive note, Richard did identify a "Kevin King" as the new CEO of Royal. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to tell us how we could get in touch with Kevin, since he was travelling and Richard wasn't sure if Kevin would be able to get back to either of us by today.

Richard also stated, "ROYAL SPORTS is clearly going through a REORGANIZATION period", but he didn't know how long this transition would take.

Due to the uncertainty surrounding this unfortunate situation at Royal, complaints of slow pays, and lack of communication between the new leadership of ROYAL, THERX.COM & MAJORWAGER have no other choice at this time but to TEMPORARILY remove them from our respective web sites.

While both the Major and I believe that ROYAL will indeed pay out what is owed, we believe that it is our responsibility to take action now and remove them immediately from our sites until all gamblers are paid in full.

Hopefully they will get it all straightened out....Seems they have had confusion on some payouts, but also when contacted, they have always been able to get the players paid...

Lets hope its more of a bad communication problem through the changeover, rather thatn serious problems...

I know Tim has been very helpful with the contests they took over for GA, and the players have all been paid promptly....That is a good sign..

Kevin King - is that like King Kong - it looks bleak at this point - wow, Royal, one of the oldest on the verge of folding - at this point you have to be suspect of any book.

Good decision by both forums IMO.

Lets all wish the Royal group the best of luck in their reorganization procedures.

At THERX, we worked with an individual that was due a mid-range 5 figure payout and he is in the process of being paid which is a positive sign.

Royal is claiming to be going through several local bank red tape and hopefully in the coming weeks they will have everything in place to move on with their company.

At this time however, it has become obvious that MW and THERX had no other recourse than to take them down from their advertiser lists.

Considering they are showing EVERY sign of paying all customers and their recent bailout of players from another failing book, lets try and show some positive support if we can towards the Royal Group.

I am sure they have many fans of their sportsbook both at MW and here at the RX.

I requested a $400 payout yesterday and they told me it would be in my prepaidatm account in 4 hours.

30 minutes later I was surprised to find that the money was already there.

Has anyone considered that Royal's bailouts of other books were nothing more than ploys to impress upon customers and non-customers that they were very healthy financially when in reality they were struggling and low on cash?

Ken, I do agree that its the right thing to do at this moment until the players get paid in Full. I don't believe they are folding given the investment they made in Lay107 and GA, but reorganization or conflict between partners/investors always hurt the players short term.

I would like to add that I have been told that money has been released and a majority of it should hit their NetTeller account by weeks end (Whether that is Fri/Sat/Sun I am not sure) and that hopefully will at least begin to right the ship.

agree with you guys.

Hopefully all will be ok, and quickly.
They have the best sites to navigate and their lines have always been sharp- more so the last couple weeks. Id put their basket lines against anyone elses.
They cut out lots of coll bb totals/halftimes recently which maybe they were getting beat on- good for them if thats what they saw.
Nice to see them participating in contests.
No drawbacks at all(except for $$$). Itd be a real shame if they lost their edge.

Roberto helped a lot of of us out. And for that I will awlays be greatful. But the reality is that a book is only as good as it's last payout. COnsidering other books have already folded, this is a really bad situation. They spent a lot of money on bonuses contests and bailouts, and now they've lost all the customers they had gained. Even after evryone gets paid, hey are going to have to offer some really juicy bonuses for anyone to risk sending them money.

It would have been much smarter for them to come clean and explain what happened, as opposed to making up stories about being swapped by payout requests from lay107 test accounts, and from bailout cusotmers.

Never play with a book that had major problems in the past. I have told people they were crazy to play at Royal and they would argue with me. Stay away from questionable books.

Just recieved $1000 Neteller from Royal. Had to make a couple of calls, but handled well IMHO. For what is is worth.
