Is Baseball the First Sport of the Season or the Last?

A strange question I guess. I was just totaling up my 2003-04 season picks for all sports to date, and got thinking about upcoming baseball spring games, and it occured to me -- is the 2004 baseball season the last addition to my 03-04 record, or the first slot on my 04-05 record?

I've never really kept an ongoing picks record, so it's never occured to me. I do understand that it is a very silly question, but what do you count it as? Last of 03 or first of 04?

I break everything down to the ACTUAL year.

So in theory, basketball and footballs actual seasons are two seasons for my record books.

Example, last years Superbowl is the 2004 season for me.

I keep tally by the calendar year but consider baseball to be the first sport of the season. Guess that's schizoid.
