Dale Earnhardt Sr did SO much good for The Nascar Winston Cup series. It is inevitable for Earnhardt Jr to win a title. Nascar wants it so bad. What a popular & emotional time it would be. Ever notice last year, we could have Earnhardt running in 20th spot, but he would get more coverage than the leaders? It would really give Nascar another great boost in ratings.

Just a matter of time before the Nascar dream becomes reality.

Great post General, I agree whole-heartedly. Growing up Dale Sr. was my favorite. I've watched him race 3 times, all at Louden, NH. You're right, (watching Dale Sr. also) it didn't matter who was batteling for 1st or 2nd, I was always watching Dale Sr. (if he wasn't in one of those spots). Dale Jr. is/was the same. It would be awesome to see him win a title, good luck to him.

I think Earnhardt Inc and Childress racing will be assisting Jr next season. JMO

I don't quite understand the obsession with Little E. He's a good driver, but no better than a dozen other young guys (and of course he has better equipment, especially on Plate Tracks).

He has no particular charisma that I can recognize. Give me Mr29 from the new class and Mr40 from the old.

DALE JR is definetly not a chip off the old block.

So many other young drivers that are better and also have more pizzazzz.

In discussion with the cook last night,(Yeah, we talk sometimes

), we agreed that Earnhardt Jr doesn't seem as thrilled as he has in the past. We wonder if some of the fun is gone for him. Dad is gone. The money is there forever, stepmom & he are running DEI and he prob don't care for that. Just wonder if he has the passion left like dad?

i think jr. still has the passion. hard to imagine someone not enjoying the thrill of flying around the track.

Harvick got maybe the biggest break in NASCAR history taking over for Dale. Jr learned from the best & shares blood, thus the appeal/obsession. Everytime we see jr, we can recall the fond memories of Ironhead.

No doubt though, tons of young talent in the Winston Cup.

Just can't get into Nascar. It's not a sport..its an event. Who can get to the finish line first without wrecking. I mean how do you root for it? They just drive around in circles for hours...not very exciting. I understand it is very hard, and alot of teamwork is involved, but i just can't get into it. I have some friends that are super nascar fans..i just don't get it at all...can anyone educate me?
