Problem with WWTS

My first post. I posted on usenet a few days ago, and someone there refered me to the Rx. There certainly seems to be lots more valuable information here!

I'm getting the shaft from (seemingly) one of this forum's more respected sportsbooks. I sent betwwts a bank wire deposit, but they refused to credit my account. I called, emailed, and eventually faxed them the wire documentation from my bank -- all to no effect! I eventually had my branch manager personally investigate, and she tells me that WWTS's bank (Antigua Overseas Bank) has definitely received the funds.

There is either fraud or gross incompetence going on at WWTS or their bank (a distinction I don't care to make).

All of this has happened over the last three weeks, so there has been ample time to resolve it.

A warning to all. Advice welcome.

They have a problem sending to Antigua Overseas Bank and your bank wire may have bounced.

Bank of america has also had this problem

The amount was $400.

(Changing the subject a bit.) Speaking of amounts, I am curious whether the others on this forum consider this to be "small change." In other words, what is the average deposit amount you guys/gals send to a presumbably reliable book like WWTS?

Thanks, General, for getting their attention. I am duly impressed. They are saying that they only received the wire yesterday. Perhaps someone at their bank dropped the ball big time. Still doesn't explain why my account wasn't credited as of this morning. Anyway, my account is now credited, with a little extra bonus for my trouble and angst. I consider this matter resolved to my satisfaction.

Thanks also to "Beetman" (rec.gamling.sports) for refering me to the Rx.

One would think (Or maybe it's old fashioned these days ) that WWTS would respond here with an explanation or an apology of some type.

Takes all kinds I guess.

Great to hear mikep. I really did very little in this matter other than spend a bit of time on the phone with WWTS. They were right on top this issue.

Glad it all went well.

"Free money" Maybe you're right.

But freedom's just another word for nothing left to loose".

I have found in life that bigger is very rarely better.
