Read why a respected Las Vegas oddsmakers would make USC a three-point favorite if it played LSU by reading Stephen Nover's latest column on the RX home page at www.theprescription.com

Also, get the story from the Shrink on the merger between All World and Hollywood on the RX home page.

Don't forget to check the home page later this month, as we will be having a quiz twice weekly where we will be giving away RX golf shirts!

For off, I respect the hell out of Mr. Glantz having knowing of him for over 20 years.

One of the sharpest of the sharpest without question.

However, he is a tad offbase here with making USC only a -3 on a neutral playing field. Especially after he himself for handicapping purposes would make them -4.

The general public AND sharps(such as himself) would pound that -3 so fast it wouldnt be on the board more than 15 miniutes!!

His own handicapping number of -4 would be a MUCH stronger number than -3.

USC would still garnish a majority of the action at -4 from the general betting public, as well as the wiseguys.

I would believe after a little more thought, he would realize himself -3 is not the correct number. If he were to REALLY put a number on this game on the board, NO WAY he would put it up at -3.

I am actually sticking up for Keith here. I know he did not put much thought into this number as it was just for fun.

With ample time and more at stake by putting up an actual number that was to be bet, AND considerting he allready made the game -4 for his own handicapping purposes, HE WOULD OPEN THIS GAME AT NO LESS THAN USC -4!!

Personally, I would open it at -4.5 if I saw where most shops opened at -4.

Fish, that might be true but NOBODY was beating LSU in the Sugar Bowl last Sunday night. Both USC and LSU basically played home games and neither team was losing to anyone those nights in those Stadiums!

Neutral field, La. Superdome, cowpasture, wherever; I may have missed something here, but Oklahoma was a 6, 6.5, 7 point favorite. Minus 3 or 4? I'd lay 120 -9.5 900 out of every 4(yes, four) times in the Superdome and expect to cover 8 of ten. Bring it the fvck on boys!

Good luck for the rest of time.

I have to add to the above post. In no way did I mean any disrespect to Mr. Glantz or his linemaking, or for that matter to you either FISHHEAD. I just believe they(USC) are that much better than LSU.

Good luck for the rest of time.

I wonder if the readers of the College Football Forum would like to argue this?

Keith is as sharp as they come but I to think he made it a little short,I could see it maybe even being as high as 6 I for one wouldn't take less than that but that is just my opinion

Yup, it would open at -4 and go to -5.5

ps- Probably go to -6 at Bodog.

From a man that admittedly didn't even see LSU beating UGA or OU, nor the touts and public that bet into the dropping Sugar Bowl number, yes that same group would open it high and push it farther..and Tiger, Baxter, BW, etc would knock all that high cotton down at the buzzer!
