Does Ryne Sandberg deserve to be in baseball's Hall of Fame when they vote Tuesday?

Explain to me how Ryno makes the HOF and Dewey is not only not in, but OFF the ballot????

Personally, I am getting sick of these HOF debates on who should be in and who should be out.

Lets just put everybody in that plays at least 10 years.

And dont want to hear this crap about how these debates are good for bartalk and the game. It makes a mochery of a great sport, that is all it does.

No question about it. I like Nover's analysis. The way I see it, if you are one of the top 2 or 3 at your position during your era you should be in the Hall. Period. Sandberg is one of the top few 2B of all-time, let alone his era. Same for Santo being one of the top 3 3B of his ERA. And having only 2 relivers in the Hall is a travesty as well. Outfielders are overrepresented.

Baseball Hall of Fame is a joke, there is all kinds of overrated trash in there. Don Sutton for example. Why should Ryan Sandberg be in HOF? What if he was on the Astros instead of the Cubs? It would not be an issue. Ryne Sandberg was Mario Soto's little bitch, put Mario Soto in HOF first.

Mattingly should be in IMO...Why Puckett and no Mattingly? I know Puck has the rings but these two had very similar stellar careers...

One other thing Rail, you win 324 games in the Major Leagues like Don Suttton did, you should be in the HOF. No matter how long it took, or how many teams he played for.

Leon Durham wasn`t exactly the best protection ,lol....I would not vote him in though...the end of his career was too iffy, hge walked away tried a comeback, his road stats were not all that impressive...Mattingly Evans and Rice more deserving....

Sutton I believe never won 20?? but did win alot of big games...Why did he where that perm though, wow!

Ryne Sanberg was good because of Leon Durham? You gotta be kidding, right?

Guys, name more than one 2B, if any, who was overall better than Ryno between 1980 and 1995? If you can't, then case closed. Somehow I think I could name more than 1 leftfielder (or did Evans play right?) better than him during a similar 15 year span. Probably a dozen or more.
