That's why I am exceedingly glad to hear that Ray Davies ("Oh yeeeeeeeah ... you really got me now ... you got me so I can't sleep at night ..." and so forth) is recuperating well after taking a bullet from a thief in New Orleans.
I'm glad to hear it, not just because I'm glad for Mr. Davies' recovery, but because he was not intially shot by the robber -- he was shot by the attacker as he chased him down trying to get someone else's purse, which the robber had stolen.
It is just so frickin cool to hear that a pushing-60 British rock icon is willing to go hoofing down the street after an armed robber in pursuit of the reclamation of someone else's stolen property (a lady, no less. Charming!)
