But there was no real thrill. No real excitement. Just another day went by. What to think? Why was I not buying toys or even a nice steak dinner? The emotions used to be different. There is theory to this. What is it?

Thanks

money can't buy happiness. you get old enough, you figure it out. the people in your life whom you care about bring you happiness, money just buys stuff. it takes time to get to the truth of all this... like about 50 years. And many still don't get it and never will.

general, at some point, money loses its value and simply becomes a figure. at some point you realize that betting just isnt as worthwhile as you once thought it was and that, regardless of how hard you try there are so many factors that you cannot control that you will simply lose that same money back. In the long run, even if you are up, the money has lost alot of its value and just isnt the same thing.....

3000 dollars in an account become 3000 dollars you have already parted with and can afford to lose. You see 3000 when you log into your account and it goes up and down as time goes by....

Gambling seems to become a habit instead of a hobby. I am ok with my style right now. Some food for thought here.

Thanks

General, the problem is that you have too much cash. If you would like to resolve your problem, simply send some of it to me, and next time you will be a lot happier.

I have that problem sometimes, a big win I grade it and move on a tough beat I agonize over like I have been bitchslapped. After doing this everyday the $ balances in accounts just mean you are set up for some good action, kinda sad.

General,

Congratulations!

How much bigger was it than your previous record?

Winning sucks, I know. It makes you think about the purpose of life and all kinds of depressing stuff like that. Having to fight tigers for your next meal, now that's true happiness...

It is a matter of maturity. That is a very good accomplishment, imo. Separating the $ , emotions from the BUSINESS side of gambling is important for success. I always buy at least a little something after a great week, so when the losing comes at least there is something to show for my work, but i never get excited about it anymore and that was one of several turning points for me.
