Seattle is now in. Seattle needed either Green Bay or Minnesota to lose in order to get to the playoffs. If both Green Bay and Minnesota won, Seattle could get in on the "strength of victory" formula, provided New Orleans beat Dallas (which happened), and any two of the following four teams won:

Carolina, Chicago, Cleveland, Miami, Pittsburgh and St. Louis.

Cleveland and Miami have already won, so Seattle is now in the playoffs.

Minnesota wins the division title if they fare the same or better than Green Bay in their final game (e.g. win vs win/tie/loss, tie vs tie/loss,m or loss vs loss). If they lose and Green Bay ties or wins, or if they tie and Green Bay wins, they're out.

Green Bay wins the division title if they fare better than Minnesota in their final game (e.g. win vs tie/loss or tie vs loss). If Minnesota wins, they get a wild card by winning. Otherwise, they're out.

Dallas needs either Green Bay or Minnesota to tie or lose. Otherwise, they're out.

Please correct any errors that you see.

Birds get homefield advantage and I hit a +500 moneyline with the Lions!

If Dallas goes out and SF and TB are already out the only team left in the playoffs that we have to avenge a loss to is..........the Patsies! (no offense Willy!)

Oh well. That would explain why Dallas didn't look great today.

Green Bay can only get in by winning the division title. They do that by faring better than Minnesota today, since an identical record gives Minnesota the title. In other words, they need to win vs a Minnesota tie/loss or tie vs a Minnesota loss. If Minnesota wins, Green Bay is out.

Minnesota wins the title by faring equally or better than Green Bay (a win, a tie vs a tie/loss, or a loss vs a loss).

Apologies for the error.

Thats it, forget the ties, never happen. Essentially the only thing left up for grabs is the NFC North title, and playoff berth that goes with it. If the Vikes win thats it, no matter what the Pack does. The Pack needs to win and have the Vikes lose at Arizona, 3-0 Cards late 2nd right now.

wil.

PS. Sportsbet we may have a showdown in Houston in a month or so. Lets hope so anyway.
