Does anyone know of any book offering action points?
I know GamblersPalace did years ago, but they stopped last I knew...(plus I heard they had some pay issues)

it makes more sense to buy 2 or 3 pts if you think that number is that much off.

limit is 20 pts either way

100 per pt max win is 2000
max loss is 2000

still risking 2000 to make 2000 the only advantage is that if you lose to the spread by just a few points you'd only lose 200 or 300 instead of 2000. so if you think youve capped the game that well just buy those 2 or 3 pts to maximize your winnings.

am i right here?! kinda sorta?!

I do very well with these. Good way to get the boot from the lesser scaredy cat books.

Getmore Sports has them as well. Omni/Littlenasa/betus.com has them too, but they will steal 100% of your winnings.

I love to bet action points, they are my favorite bet on a selective basis. Maybe 2% of my total wagers are on action points. I especially like them in the NBA betting home dogs.

This is a nice wagering option to have in ones arsenal in the battle against the books.

Fun too!

Please correct me if I am wrong....action points work like this:

Dallas is favored by 3...I bet $100 per point and Dallas wins by 6....I win $300....

Dallas is a 3 point underdog...they lose by 2...I win $100...

Do I have it right?

Sherman,

Yes, but if Dallas is 3 point underdog and loses by 10 points, you owe $770.

Yep. There is always vig.

The action points merely means: Multiply the base bet ($110/100) by the number of points the game closes relative to the point spread.

Some software will limit the max risk/win to say 5 or 10 total points. The reason for this is simple. The book must withhold the funds from your account for the maximum lay (loss) amount. If the number of action points were unlimited, you could lose the game by 50 points and owe the book a lot more money than they are going to trust you to pay. Since they are limiting your loss, they must also limit your win by the same amount of points. Unless you have unlimited credit, this is the only responsible accounting method.
