Heading down to Vegas on Jan 1. We're booked into Primm Valley the first night because Strip hotels are sold out or prohibitively expensive that night and I wanted to check out the coaster down there anyway. I'm at the Venetian for the next three nights and my buddy's at Harrah's in my coupon room.

I got a great deal at the V through Casino Marketing. I played only a few hours of .25 VP there last visit in Feb and they gave me a $99 room Fri/Sat/Sun.

I'm looking for a nice sportsbook to watch the Rose Bowl before we head out to Stateline. Won't be the Venetian as I'll be watching the other bowls there (nice cozy book with VP bar, nice CW's). Ease of parking and easy access to I15 after the game is important. Bellagio? TI? Mirage? other? (I've heard Caesar's is not what it once was).

Thanks.

Caesar's drives me nuts. Its dark and not very comfortable.

Bellagio is very comfortable but can get crowded. I like the bar right there with .25 video poker comp drinks and the tvs right there.
I also hit a royal there so made it worthwile. If you like drinks try a cable car martini, outstanding.

h upmann-

If you are a video poker player than Strut is your man. My bet is Mulligans has some good vp and some good bar food and cheap, ice cold Budweisers.

Would this be the Mulligan's on N. Rancho? A little out of our way, but a non-casino might be a good idea for the first day.
