JM,which is what Christmas is all about.Don't have children, but yesterday was in the local market picking up smokes. There was a little girl there, probably about 3-4 years old.Have no idea where her parents were.Just on impulse,I bought her an ice cream. The look on her face was priceless. Not just happiness.but wonder that some stranger did this.

Young children are the best, I am sure the look was priceless....

On a sad note, the story ESPN is running on Joe Jurevicious is a real heart breaker, him and his wife talking about the loss of their young son who lived but a few months...All this was going on during Tampa`s Super Bowl run....I cannot imagine! Tear jerker!

Everyone has grown up in my family.
No more Santa, no more christmas cartoons, it just isn't the same.

Today watching my son open his gifts. The look in a child's eyes when they're ripping the wrapping paper off is so nice.

This Christmas I had three things that helped me realize the true meaning of Christmas. On Sunday night I watched a move on CBS called "The Christmas Shoes". It had a sad ending but so many things that happened throughout the movie made it a very moving two hours. Second, I went to midnight mass last night. The musical interlude before the service and the service itself were beautiful. Third, I turned on ESPN this morning and they had a segment on the very sad story of Joe Jurevicius's little boy who passed away after a very brave battle with so many ailments. I cried through the entire story. It was very sad but uplifting at the same time how Joe Jurevicious and his wife were able to spend the final hours of their courageous little boy's life just holding him without all the tubes and wires that had kept his little body alive since the moment he was born. An amazing story about a hard fighting baby that left this world much too soon.

I hope you can all see it on ESPN and it moves you as much as it did me.
