I was fortunate enough to land six (6) 50 yard line seats, lower level to the Nokia Sugar Bowl ...

I can hardly wait ...

Enjoy the holidays!

Rail, what games do you have bargain tickets for?

I wouldn't mind going to a bowl game, but timing for me is off. I will just miss being in Vegas for the game tomorrow, will go to San Diego but leave the morning of the Holiday Bowl and will get to the Bay Area just after the two games there are over. Bowl games are lots of fun, always good to be in the city a day or two before and party with the fans that come into town for it.

Sugar Bowl if I can stomach the trip. My best friend lives in Tigerland and his father spent a boku amount of money on tickets and hotel and airfare to get down there. I happen to be driving down from Philadelphia to Orlando January 2nd and if I can get up on the 4th early enough I would have to drive from Lakeland FL to New Orleans and meet them there. Now being a Penn State alum the game doesn't mean that much to me BUT being a fan of college football it would be sweet to see it in person since it's the Sugar Bowl and Penn State is only appearing in the toilet bowl this year. So MAYBE I will be at the Sugar and if so GEAUX TIGERS for my best friend (an LSU alum) and his family.

Last year at the Orange Bowl, 55,000 Iowa fans were there.

About 30,000 of them attended the infamous Hawkeye Huddle two days before the game just to get shitfaced.

The same will hold true this year at the Outback Bowl in Tampa. The Huddle is scheduled two days before the game at the Tampa convention Center. Expect 25,000 or so to be there.

Enjoy the game Strut. Hawk fans always like to leave the frigid state of Iowa for the warmth of FL. and a bowl game. Definitely one of the reasons they "travel well". Who wants to be in Iowa for their winters?

Yup, your 100% correct.

I have between 200-250 close friends and family coming down to the game.

REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.

Rail,

I have tried the Rosebowl on gameday and I don't think the dynamics of this one work in the favor of the buyer. You have a strong SC team and you and I know how fickle those fans are. When a team is ranked #1 the LA bandwagon is overloaded. Michigan is about as strong a travelling contingent as you can find and it has been years since they have been out in Pasadena. My feeling is that this will be a tough ticket, maybe the toughest for this particular game in a long time.

And sir, I would love to find your sources of $10 tickets to any game

Bill,

Rosebowl holds 100 grand, tickets have gone from 500 2 weeks ago to 175 and dropping now, I know more than anybody, Mich fans will come but not like in 98, there will be an abudance of tickets at game time.

I would go to the Outback Bowl but I have a bad record with games I attend. Hawks could get macacreed. Home game for Gators.

My wife and I went to the Las Vegas Bowl last night. We really didn't have a rooting interest, but we were there to get New Mexico kicker Katie Hnida to sign a newspaper article that appeared in our local paper on Monday:

http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2003/Dec-22-Mon-2003/news/22851531.html

The game was pretty lame with Oregon St. romping over New Mexico 55-14, but frankly I had my back to the field most of the game as I was playing with my daughter in the stands. It really drove home what's important this holiday season.

Now if I had put big money on the game...
