Is this true? Carolina threw a pass on the last play (vs Detroit) up only 6 when a knee would ice the game??

I did not watch nor have money on the game but that would be just too hard to believe? why risk losing just to cover for the home fans?

Can somebody tell me the last drive for Carolina?

did the local press comment on this or are my facts wrong?

Yes.

The reason was it was fourth down with a few seconds left and the clock was stopped.

Instead of trying a field goal or punting and risking a block, the QB dropped back, heaved a pass towards the end zone and by the time it fell incomplete, all the time had run off the clock and the game was over.

He heaved towards out of bounds so there was no risk of an interception being run back.

And no risk of us guys who had detroit + 8 taking it up the ass on a panthers touchdown.
