12/22/03 SBR receives information that yet another Costa Rican book is in trouble - SBR sources refusing to name the book except to say the Costa Rican book in trouble is not on the SBR Recommended List.

For the fourth consecutive year, SBR strongly advises players to avoid this scam ridden area

For the 4th consecutive year SBR makes blanket statement after blanket statement.

Either they should say what they know or say nothing at all. These "warnings" serve NO purpose IMO.

Ok, let's play clue.

Was it Allworld in the Lobby with the lead pipe?

This is pointless.

Revere, that can't be the inclusive list of non-Rec List CR books. Aren't there dozens of them?

At the current time, I realy dont know what to make of this.

I believe SBR in what they are saying, but what are players to do with this warning?

Like Lander says, they have to play CLUE.

If players are in a book in CR and it is not on the SBR recommended list, I gues I would advise proceed with caution with these books.

But on the other hand, dont most of us proceed with caution on these books now?

SBR has stated in the past why they do not tell what books may be sinking in the days ahead. Do understand their dilemma to some extent.

Maybe if that is the case, why mention anything at all? Whats the point???

The end of football season seems like a safe time to make a blanket prediction. If a book goes down then you claim that was the one you were referring to, if a book doesn't then you say "they pulled out of it" but the info was good at the time. Either way if you don't name books it's a pretty safe play for a watchdog site. Yawn....

Win/win for SBR though, this guy gets to continue to bash all CR books and keeps his name in the headlines. Not trying to be ugly but posts like these are completey worthless and only fulfill self-serving agendas.

Great post Tomcat. Those in the know are well aware of the fact that John Walker accepts big money under the table from the books on his recommended list. SBR is the biggest scam on the net. He moves books from d to b so fast that it is a joke.
