When was the last time both returning Super Bowl teams failed to make the playoffs the following year? In this case if the Bucs lose next week, both teams will end up playing less than .500% ball. Giving some thought to this game, I was one of the sheep that liked the Bucs, and said so in a couple of posts. The one thing that had me nervous, was a lot of my thinking was based on how miserable Michael Vick, and the rest of the Falcons looked last week at home vs. the Colts. Well it turns out that Wade Phillips admits that he brought the Falcons into the game unprepared, mainly due to the coaching change at mid-week. I know one thing, this is a much better Falcon team on the field today.

I hate to say I told you so, but in the preseason I told EVERYONE on at leastr 3 occassions that the BUCS would not make the playoffs!!

To answer my own question - LAST YEAR, both the Rams and Pats missed the playoffs after playing in the previous SB. The Pats played decently, but did'nt make it going 9-7, the Rams fell to 7-9. Short term memory loss is my only excuse.
