At WWTS book that the problem is NOT on my end with their webpage. I try to make a football wager and the screen goes black.
Lower left corner of my computer screen says: "Error on Page".

But they think it's my computer!

OMT....it sounds like your IE may be corrupt.

Do the following & see if it fixes it

1-Download, update & run Adaware
2-Do the same for Spybot Search & destroy
(remove anything that they find)
3-Go to trend.com & download Sysclean & the virus pattern file.
4-Go to www.windowsupdate.com & get all of the critical updates. These are security updates, but may also fix IE problems-especially if you don't have IE 6.

I have the latest version of Internet Explorer.

I go to 6 other sportsbooks and do NOT have this problem . It is only on WWTS when I try to make a wager. It is an itermittant problem.

"Done, but with errors on page". Is that IE?

Thanks TT,
I'll try that tomorrow. Lander told me last week or maybe two ago--it was their problem.

I don't know. Like the book--but thisis getting old.

Mvb, that's a good point.

If you are using XP, disable the firewall that is part of it.

I agree.....

If anyone is thinking about upgrading from Win2K, all I can say is DON"T!!!!

Windows 2000 on 866mb processsor runs faster than XP on a 1.8gb processor with TWICE as much memory. I've done the tests myself.

This is what happens when you have to pump out a new operating system every couple of years to extract as much $$$ as you can out of the public. This is also the reason why you have to update you system every MF'ing week in order to protect yourself from the latest holes that have been exposed.

Windows NT with service pack 6a was the most solid OS to date....but it didn't pay the bills after a couple of years.

It's the Bill Gates fukk job. End of story.

They sent me an email asking for all the details of the error message, which will be turned over to their computer people. I told them everything that has happened. Before today, all I got was clear my cookies and be running IE version 6.
So I will see what happens. I probably would never have noticed it, but during halftime on numerous occassions--is when it usually happens, but not allways.

OMT,
I have Windows 2000 and it's been my favorite version of Windows yet.

I'd recommend upgrading to 2000 as it's more stable.

#1....win2000 is a VERY good idea-especially if you are one a machine that is over 1-2 yrs old. XP is a big fat pig that requires massives resources--aka, a new machine.

Yeah, Gates is in bed with Intel also. Get it?
