Fitzgerald deserved Heisman more than White. White had a better supporting cast on both offense and defense than Larry. The third string quarterback could have won with this team. Where would Pitt have been without Fitzgerald? Not playing in a bowl game? Very likely. Fitzgerald got screwed because he was a Soph. He is in my mind the best player this year in college football and he should have won the Heisman.

Personally, I'm tired of the danny wuerffels, gino torettas, ron daynes, etc. who parlay national championship contention (meaning they have a great team around them) to the heisman trophy over more gifted football players.
White seems like a great kid and I wish him all the best but Fitzgerald was the best player in the nation this season.

Glad to hear you're partying heavy down in CR cause only somebody that is intoxicated could think that Eli was worthy of the Heisman.
His big moment to save the season for Ole Miss and he trips over the center. As say compared to a guy like Doug Flutie who in a more dire circumstance, makes one of the greatest plays of all time.
Point being, he just didn't measure up. Great college QB but I'd argue that White, Linehart and Symons had better years than he did, just at the QB position.
Having said that, I still think Fitzgerald out-performed all of them.
