Really interesting concept. In real life, I almost believe I could prob sit down with Major and enjoy a beer

The whole poster persona is unique to each of us. I like it. What's your thoughts on the persona vs person? It's a study for sure. Once talked to a guy who said SHRINK is using all of us as a study. LOL

Good stuff!

I agree Gen, no question in my mind that if everyone got together we would all get along. Even though we are at different sites, I think we are still part of the same family when push comes to shove.

In seriousness ... you're probably right Gen.

The RX bash sounded like a success and there were some "forum enemies" in the crowd. Did Grandfather even go?

is in a small way, like getting wounded by friendly fire in combat. The enemy whoever they are, is not responsible for inflicting any casualties, we hurt, and injure ourselves with verbal bombardment. Actually pretty dumb when you think about it. Suppose Major played golf and ended up in a foursome with Lander, and neither one knew the other from that very first moment on the golf course. Would they get along and not insult each other? Somehow we have all taken sides, and have formed opinions of posting personas (at least 95% of the time, I know some posters actually know each other), these opinions urge us to interact with curtesy or rudeness, kindness or hostility, according to what we percieve a particular posters persona to be. I have no trouble joking with say Blue Edwards, but will avoid Mud Slide Slim whenever possible. Why, I quess its my prconcieved opinions of their posting persona. Anyway, imo. its a shame things have to be this way.

Old Indian: Once upon a time, a woman was picking up firewood. She came upon a poisonous snake frozen in the snow. She took the snake home and nursed it back to health. One day the snake bit her on the cheek. As she lay dying, she asked the snake, "Why have you done this to me?" And the snake answered, "Look, bitch, you knew I was a snake."
