This is just a friendly reminder that at this time of year, especially in the NFL playoffs, several sportsbooks either limit or do not allow teasers. I know that many will say I am an idiot, that there is no edge here, but I am telling you that just based on the fact that a few books limit or do not allow them should open your eyes to a money making opportunity here. My advice is to be ultra selective, and only bet the teasers on games where you love the team without the added 6-10 point cushion. In other words, a long time ago a smart man said to me to avoid the games where i say to myself, "I like Tennessee minus one with the teaser, but I don't like the game at 7." The point is, only bet teasers on games where you love the team minus the 10 or minus the 7, and now you have an even greater cushion. December is upon us, and with that comes bad weather. those 6-10 point teasers will prove very valuable to you smart people who play them intelligently. good luck, and I hope that my words are a holiday gift, and not a financial disaster.

Fact:

2 team team NFL teasers are some of the best wagers you can make ANY time of year. Make sure you find the books with the best odds on 6, 6.5, and 7 point teasers!

Tease your teams through key numbers such as 3,4,6, and 7.

Playoffs are a license to steal practically with NFL teasers. Dont be surprised if some shops raise their vig, cut limits, or completly do away with teasers come playoff time.

2-team NFL teasers have been a betting ploy of mine for years. Make them part of your stable too!

What kind of odds should one expect from the the 6, 6.5 & 7 game teaser?

Additionally is the 3 game 10 point teaser recommended?

My basic rule of thumb is to only tease games when you can cross both 3 and 7 fully. eg. +1.5 to +2.5 and -7.5 to -8.5 games only. Then I look to use even money 2 team teasers that some books offer. Another tatic is using juice to your advantage. eg. a team -7.5 -121 is still only -110 on a 6pt 2team NFL teaser. Try for as much value as you can find using the numbers available. Never, never cross from -3 to plus 3. This weeks the Colts -1.5 and the Eagles + 8 would be an example of a teaser I might use.

Look for 7-point -110 or

6-point EVEN

Theses are both STRONG plays!!

It's easy as ABC....

Good tips there TeaserGuru, thanks. Teasers, like teams who play good defense and can run the football increase in value as the temperature dips. Numbers and offensive coordinators start to snug up some.....

Not sure if it's true or not but thought it sounded good.

Easy rule of thumb is bet the underdogs in the first round (wildcards) and the home favorites in the second round. That has been easy money since the NFL went to the current system, especially that second week where you get the best teams in the league with home advantage and off a bye week. Good teams lay it on and don't have any qualms about running up the score. Backdoors are fairly rare. Teasing an underdog in this round is not wise, but if you can do it in the first week it gives you a nice cushion.

I think the reason why they don't take teasers isn't the advantage as much as they just don't want to take the risk. Playoffs are when everyone wants to get a bet in. Teasers are bad for the house because they get so much action and can get middled badly if the score is close with the most action of the year riding on the games. They don't mind parlays because those are clean decisions, but teasers can be an unmitigated disaster if the NFL were to have 4 close games.

ABC is by far the best teaser shop. 7 points 2 teamer at - 110. A tie is a win. So a tie and a win is a winner.

I would lose confidence in you batposters here at THERX if you lost money in the long run on the 2-team 7 point teasers(TIES WIN) at ABC Islands.

Every darn one of you are to sharp for that!
