That would be nice to see the GREEK here. But after the last couple of days around here, the opposite is about to take place.
From what I hear here in Costa Rica, BETBG will not be the ONLY BOOK to stop thier ADV CAMPAIGN at the RX.
Again its only hearsay, so lets see what transpires.

I, on the other hand, have heard there are large marketing firms now considering to advertise on the rx.
With the US economy on a rebound, I think 2004 will be the best year Sportsbooks have seen in quite some time. I think the industry will continue to strive as the economy continues its up-swing.

I have heard that most books are waiting to see the new pricing structure. I believe right now that you can buy chunks of advertising in 6 mo and 12 mo blocks.
The new program that they are rolling out is a discounted price for advertising that includes all the normal banner ads but also comes with a BLACKMAIL CAMPAIGN. This campaign hurts the book initially but then gets it all kinds of publicity.
We will wait and see what the costs are.

A week later this guy walks into a BAR, with 3 LOVELEYS at his side, orders a round for the HOUSE, pays with CRISP NEW C NOTES.
Then a little MARINE jumps from his pocket and runs up and down the BAR, spilling all the drinks.
He orders another round, and same thing, Little Marine jumps from his pocket, and tips over all the drinks.
Finally the BARKEEP ask him WTF is going on here man.

The Greek will never advertise here on the RX ever again. That would be taking a step back. They are probably the most honorable book out there imo, and in all likelihood like a more regulated environment where books don’t go left and right all the time because most people know shit about running a business. Advertising on the RX would set them back years to that accomplishment.
The Greek has a reputation for helping out stiffed players; advertising on the RX would be a show of support for known stiffs, the very ones that are hurting this industry day after day. After all, Marty is the Mark Dell/Charlie Therwhanger of the Casino world.
