Too Many Bowl Games!

Now I dont want to go off on a rant, but with what, 28 games, that makes 56 teams. Thats almost half of division 1A. This gives us thrilling and exciting match-ups like Houston vs Hawaii and Boston College vs Colorado St. Dont miss Louisville vs Miami O in the GMAC Bowl! Hopefully you are not a booster of one of these two and have to spend the holidays in Mobile, Alabama. How does Kansas make it to a Bowl Game? 28 Bowls, thats how!
All of these BS games are better than having a playoff? I dont think so.

You should be happy, this way we have more games to bet on

Need to try get some of the money I lost on some of those teams back!

Hey Houston might not be a power house....but there are a few here in Houston that are happy our coogs are going bowling...since we were 0-11 two years ago.

Nice to see Northwestern sneak in at 6-6.

This team has been very silent all year. Hard to believe they are going bowling.

We need more bowl games. Anybody that wins 4 games or more gets a invite. I hate the NBA and NHL. More football the better!

I have a better idea. How about a single elimination tournament involving EVERY team in division 1A. Everyone has a shot to win the National Championship and the Big 12 runner up would not bepalying in the final. The betting handle would be huge!

I think you are on the right track but why not just have 58 Bowl Games. Wow, what a betting opportunity with plenty more college foots. Hell, that's all we care about. And the monetary gains for all Division 1 schools would be terrific. The final one could be the Sno Bol Toilet Bowl played maybe in Buffalo in January.

But I can see controversy begin to brew as the computer rankings and the human polls probably wouldn't be able to come to agreement as to whether SMU or Army would get in. It would be even more cruel than USC's fate to one of those teams. Just think of the ignominy of not making a bowl game.
