If Rx owner owns Rio is it a conflict of interest?

All the watchdog sites have a financial interest in the books either through advertising, sheets or ownership. Rumors are around that an owner of the RX is also an owner of Rio.

I personally don't have a problem with this. The problem I have is that recently any negative talk of Rio has been censored.

A couple of reputable posters have claimed that Rio owed a person $800,000. This was just payed off after 18 months. An agent is claimed to be owed 280k. All I want to know is if this is true or not.

I really like Rio as a book. The free 1/2 point is of huge value. The question is why does the RX censor so much about Rio when they let IB bash Royal to the point that a court stepped in to stop IB. There's obviously something to the Rio/RX connection.

Can someone from the RX explain if there is a connection or not? I'm not looking to pick on Rio, I would just like to make sure I know about the financial security of a book before placing my money with them.

Raiders,

I have no inside scoop on this whatsoever. If Shrink says he has no ownership cause he doesn't want to take such a risk cause he resides in the States, I tend to believe him, absent of evidence that contradicts that.

So it boils down to, do you have evidence that contradicts that or are you just trying to stir something up? Obviously, you have an agenda from past posts. If you've got some proof, let it all out, my man. Let the light shine through.

Who gives a SHIT. As long as RIO pays its players, thats all we should really be concerned about.

I have never had a problem with this BOOK.

Allow me to say that I don't think your comments were lacking in respect or untruthful in any fashion. In fact, you seem to go out of your way to avoid asking your questions in a disrespectful fashion.

The problem, you see, is that you have asked a very good question. Best wishes with your games.

IB, why don't you go find a different thread to screw up.

One loan of over 750K, and another of roughly 250K. That tells me that there is at least a reasonable chance that there are or were some pretty damn serious financial difficulties.

Some of you guys are funny. The loan amounts keep going up, almost by the post.

Someone makes up a figure of 750, now it's 800.

Raiders,

Isn't this getting a bit "old" already? I believe someone had it right on this thread when they remembered one of the main reasons I sold this site.

I live in the UNITED STATES and I thoroughly enjoy my FREEDOM to live here. I sold the RX
largely because of the barbaric and arrogant position that the United States government has recently been taking with regards to gambling portals...

Now why can't some of you understand that I am NOT INTERESTED in jeapordizing my FREEDOM even further by puchasing an offshore sports book?

Shrink,

I don't think he was implying you owned a part of Rio but that Rio owned a part of the RX.

Shrink,
I'm not saying that you own Rio. I'm just saying that that someone that owns Rio owns the RX whether it's on paper or some other type of deal.

I don't care who it is because it's none of my business. What bothered me was the cencorship that occurred when talking about Rio.

Are you denying the financial trouble that Rio had been having? Also was there a loan of approximately $800,000 that took in the area of 18 months to pay off? And last does Rio owe an agent any money at this time?

I'll take your sarcasm as a hint that you were trying to be funny, however direct that towards someone else as I didn't start this thread. Thanks.

Mo,

Actually, I somewhat see your point. You could probably read it either way, either RX owns part of Rio or vice versa the way Raider's post is worded.

So other than conjecture, my question to Raiders or anyone else is...why the cloak and dagger? If the relationship you allege exists, tell us the evidence. Otherwise, let all these Rio-bashing posts go for Chrissakes. This ain't the first one and most of us out here still haven't seen a shred of evidence that they are linked in any way.

Modig,

I was just playing around and didn't mean to single you out...

These rumors have been going on now for many months and always started by The Major...

Raiders,

Short and simple, then I am going to bed..

1- RIO has no ownership with TheRx.com

2- I backed RIO with my own money because their owner is a good friend of mine and I know
that RIO is financially solvent...

3- They once borrowed money from a retired BM about 18 months ago, but that figure was far kess than 800k, and closer to half that! That loan was repaid in full...

4- I know of no agent that is owed any money by RIO...

Not really. Either you support your country or you dont. Simple really. So in other words you only support what is suitable to YOUR needs?
