One 4 point play against the Pacers eons ago and still coaches are afraid to do the right thing. If you're up by 3, give the foul and send the other team to the line!!! How many coaches like Rick Adelman tonight have let games go to OT because they don't send the other team to the line?

...and no, I didn't bet the Kings tonight - just observing.

There was too much time for Sacramento to start fouling. Min had the ball with 24 sec. left down 3. Garnett hit the 3 with 12 seconds left. Normally you would want to foul with less than 5 sec left leading by 3 to avoid a last sec. 3.

Something else that's stupid is allowing the easy deuce when up by three rather than playing aggressive in the paint. Just make sure if you have to foul they don't score the bucket. Teams should never give up free points.

Chuck I thought there was only 6 or 7 seconds left when KG drained #2. Obviously if there was as much time as you said left then that would change things dramatically. But my point still remains that coaches these days VERY rarely foul with the lead when the clock sez it is correct to do so.
