I will try to make this story as brief as possible. In a nutshell, they are a nightmare to deal with when it comes to receiving and or transfering money. I have a friend who had multiple accounts with several sportsbooks. After losing an amount he was comfortable with, he decided to pack it in for the year. He called me, knowing that i also have a Canbet account, and asked if i would do him a favor and have them transfer his balance to me. I would just move the money to my account, and give him the cash that he had available. Sounds pretty straight forward right? Well they said categorically no to this. My friend does not want to have an IRS problem by taking a wire or a check, and this would have been very smooth. they said they can not transfer a balance from one player to another. I said you can't do this when we are BOTH customers of CANBET. I thought they were telling me a practical joke. After asking them several times, they said no way, and that my friend is going to HAVE to take the wire. Correct me if I am wrong, but this is a competitive business, and shouldnt' sportsbooks do as much as humanly possible to make the customer happy? I am in shock as to how caustic the people at Canbet are, and how unbending they can be. they must have a zillion customers to be so unwavering. All i can say is that if they continue to treat their customers like nothing more than numbers, their customer count will dwindle, and they will be swooped up by the Pinnacle's and the other books that always bend over to make me and their other customers happy. Canbet, I like your lines, and i know your money is good, but i am very sorry, there is more to this game than that. And you have lost sight of it. I hope your poor customer relations improve before it is too late.

It is a protection for the customers not to allow this kind of practice..

What if your friend wins a lot of money, he wouldn't be able to withdraw the money..

There are a lot of methods to withdraw the money..

I put money in and I take money out very often, no transfer to other people bullshit. Never any problem and very fast service.
Also, very fast email respones to questions from polite reps. Great lines and easy to use software.

Just curious - I know Olympic allows players to transfer funds to each other, do you both have Olympic accts? If so, would Canbet allow him to move his balance to Olympic, and then have him move the cash to you that way? I know that's not the point of your post, just wondering.

You forgot to mention one thing.Canbet is regulated by the govt. Maybe the regulators do not allow this type of activity.Under this scenario,Canbet's hands would be tied.

If you think that is so shockingly terrible customer service you havent seen anything yet my friend...If that is there policy, then so be it. Your buddy should be able to get his withdrawalmany different ways.

Canbet is very, very solid. They pay super fast. -107 juice, government protection. Great 24/7 customer service.

Yet you think "Canbet sucks" just because they wont let you and your friend launder money between the two of you "to avoid an IRS problem" in your own words.

Get the fvck out of here with this weak sheeat.

Winning - this may have to do with stricter regulations they have to deal with rather than just them not wanting to help you. The reason I say that is because I once got caught up in something similar. I was winning at another book and wanted to "even things out" so did a book to book transfer. It was from Olympic into CanBet. I expected the regular short delay but the clerk at Olympic didn't realize the rules with CanBet were different. CanBet could not legally credit my account until the money was in their hand. They knew the money was coming and they knew the Greek was good for it but until they had it in their hands they couldn't credit my account. If they did it was breaking the law and their gaming license could have been put in jeopardy.

Anyway I say this because perhaps this is more of the same stuff. They were in Australia then versus England now, not sure if that has changed or not. It wasn't a major thing but it was sort of aggravating at the time but once they explained it to me the whole thing made sense. Some people don't like them but they are just fine in my book. They have reduced juice, hang overnights, pay out lightning fast, and have great customer service. It might be they couldn't help you rather than they wouldn't, just my opinion sir.

I don't have a problem with Canbet not allowing this.

I do have a problem with Canbet no longer offering overnights and they have been real slow to put up moneylines on football.

Canbet is not the book they used to be.
