I was wondering if anyone knew of any books where it's possible to sell points (as opposed to buying them) at a good price. I know Bet365 allows this to a certain extent; does anyone know of any others? Thanks.

You might take a look at betting ACTION POINTS. Maybe that will fit your bill, not sure.

OK, figured out what they are. So let me modify my question: any sites that offer selling points AND/OR action points? I'd like to evaluate my options after seeing what's available where. Thanks a lot.

BiilyB,

Why do you say selling points is bad? Is it because you don't get enough juice for the value you are giving away? If so how much juice do you think you should get for a 1/2 pt in NFL say?

So these books actually let you sell points to them? I have a hard time believing that Olympic would have time for something like this. Are you sure Mcirish?

Teaser - I know it's late for an elderly man but read his question again please. I stand by my answer.

jip,

It differs with each number. You only get 5 cents when you sell but it costs 10 to buy. Here are the key numbers and %'s that they hit.

3 15.1%
7 7.1%
6 6 %
10 5.9 %
4 5.8 %

If you are going to sell you want to sell in college games where the spreads are high and off of key numbers.

They do allow Americans, only they ask one to not be on US soil while making the bet.

Thanks Pat, it seems that Olympic only takes action points wagers over the phone and WSEX only allows them for football. As for WWTS

Perhaps I should begin thinking about using 5dimes after all...

I'm inquiring about these alternate types of wagers because I'm sick of the -110, -107 or whatever it is. I just hate the - period. Perhaps this is why I prefer games like Hockey and Baseball..I like games where I can go 50% or even below and still have a good chance at making a profit. Perhaps with strategic point-selling or action points, same may be possible in the other sports. Or perhaps I should just begin betting moneylines all around.

are those % that they hit overall? NFL of college? Just asking because they look a bit high from what I remember. The best way to evaluate is to look at the % of the time a number hits when it is close to the actual pointspread.

It doesn't matter if a game lined at 10 hits on 3 a lot, becuase there is no way you buy it down that low. Also doesn't matter if the DOG wins by 3, again the line is too far off where you can buy it. To determine how often 3 hits, you should be looking only at games lined at 1-5 or something like that. An donly games in which the favorite wins by that margin.

Those are NFL numbers from 81-98 by covers. Drunkguy you are correct that you should break it down by spread of the game to get true numbers.
