THE TRUTH REGARDING RIO...

So much has been said about RIO on these posting forums over the past few months. I probably know more about this sports book than any other in this industry, so here goes...

Aside from the World Sports Exchange and WWTS, RIO has been an advertisor on this site longer than anyone else (over 5 years now)...

It's also no secret that I am very good friends with their main man, and arguably all of the insiders in this industry consider him to be one of the few "good guys" left...

Years ago, this guy got beat out of a LOT OF COIN from a major syndicate that is well known for putting many out of business. Rather than NOT paying this large debt by using the BS "syndicate rule", the main man from RIO scraped together almost every penny he had saved to pay them, which almost put him out of business way back in the pioneer days.

I have met him in CR on a at least a half dozen occassions and went to dinner with him alongside the main guys from DELMAR, CRIS, HOLLYWOOD & CASCADE REGULARLY.

Despite all the dynamic personalities that were sitting at one table, it was always the main man at RIO who everyone bookmaker wanted to talk to and confide with. He is a fun guy to be around. He has a gambler's mentality, but most of all, he is RESPECTED and held in the HIGHEST ESTEEM by ALL the sports books that we dined with.

To know this main man is to love him. Although he is not perfect by any sense of the imagination, he is a man of his word and he doesn't bad mouth his competitors.

For example, I remember once when a certain sports book that is well known for some shady dealings once screwed this guy and rather than be vindictive, the main guy at RIO raved to me about how brilliant a marketing tycoon this other competitor was...

I am not hear to write a sermon, but I just wanted to present a more PERSONAL side of a man that I respect more than just about anyone else in this biz.

When I send my money offshore, I do think it is important to know WHO I am dealing with, so this is one of the reasons I am sharing a little more than usual about RIO's main man...

Not only do I feel 101% confident that posters who play there will get paid, but I will personally put my money where my mouth is and guarantee all new accounts for as much as their original deposit is, no LIMITS EITHER...

I have started the process by sending Pinnacle a hefty 6 figure balance to cover anyone thinking of opening up a post up account at RIO, but who may have been scared away due to viscious lies and rumors...

I feel badly that some of you have agendas to hurt people you know little or nothing about and since I do know this guy well, I feel the need to do the right thing and support them in a time when they are being bullied and lied about...

Sorry for the long post. I will not respond any further except to tell all new clients who want me to back them with RIO to send me your new account number with the amount you sent to RIO and I will guarantee ALL OF YOU with my own money that RIO is SAFE and TRUSTWORTHY...

I can also assure you that NONE of the RUMOR m o n g e r s would be willing to put up any money to back up their hollow words because their lies are dispicable, disdainful and simple not true, period...

Shrink, you need to not only guarantee post up, but whatever someone wins as well. It isnt much of a relief if I send a book $10,000 and you only guarantee that original $10,000 IF I WIN!!!! Guarantee total balances and you have a deal.

If someone turns lets say a $1000 western union postup into $9,000 or so, then they are not worried about getting their ORIGINAL money back, they want the winnings!


I am not a heavy hitter, but it always puzzles me as to why people are worried about POST UP funds! I wouldnt just want the post up, but the winnings as well, now THAT would be putting your money where you mouth is!

So Yes, I will put even more money into my Pinnacle account if need be to "insure" gamblers, and if anyone who opens up an account wants to check what my balance is at PINNACLE, I will give Henry permission to reveal the balance I have over there...

yeah that would only work if you guarentee winnings otherwise if the book went under people would wonder if that was a way for them to just pay post up and not their losses.

I know that I wouldnt find a better deal! My question was mainly towards how people are always worried about their postup funds. Usually I dont give a damn about them because when I am ready to cashin, I usually wait until I get to at 5x whatever my original post up was!



But then again, most guys around here want their money as soon as the game is over!

If a book needs a person, that probably 90% of the posters regard as a stranger, come out and gurantee post up money, well that is enough for me to avoid Rio !

Well good post Shrink, but guys around here are running around with heads up their ass so I wouldnt expect too many of them to listen to reason! But in all honesty, you are a stranger to 90% of us! Hell I have sent you about 20 emails in the past and MAYBE got a reply to one of them, but then again, maybe I didnt get a reply to that one, I cant remember. Whatever it was, you replied to one of the emails that wasnt important. SO it is a little hard for alot of us to get a good feel for you offer.


But I might just consider it, I was going to send $2000 somewhere this weekend, will be there for Sundays games if they have a good line for these 3 games that I want to parlay


One reason why I stopped playing at RIo about 1 year ago is because of my bad luck at their book. I had money in about 4 books at the time and was betting games at all books each day. But I'll be damn if I coulnt win a SINGLE bet in baseball at their book! Just bad luck I know, but it was hard to reup with a book where you never win.


I mean we slap ourselves in the face all of the time, but eventually when a bruise develops, it is time to stop. Well that is what I did about 1 year ago, maybe htey are due another shot!


You know, if I were a mod, then I would sure play at RIO, since I was AT LEAST know Ken a little better! HMMM!!


Here is an open invitation SHrink, come ot Hosuton for the Super Bowl and we will have a big party. I have 6 tickets for the Super Bowl, but was really going to sell them, but if you come, then maybe I will make the trip. Actually I have been to Super Bowls in the past, I really prefer to watch football games on TV. We can even check out the Houston Rockets vs New JErsey the night before hte Super bowl in Houston. I have season tickets to the Rockets, my treat!

I know that you will back it all up. I was just explaining why some might say about the offer. Actually I had forgotten about our MATCH, You are right, we have talked via email a few more times than I reember I guess in reagrds to that contest.


Well if RIO has good lines for those 3 games, then I will send them the money. It isnt that much money anyway. Everyone has the same lines anyway usually. Hell I ahve ot call RIO and as them what my account number and password is again it has been so long!


And I am not worried about you backing up other books, as that is not your job anyway! Thes books pay you cash to advertise, NOT POLICE!! If they paid you on time, then they deserve to be at the top. Alot of posters treat this place as our "house," but the truth is we are only visitors. It is your house Shrink, and the books paying the bills above dont need you to back them up at all in my opinion.
