So I am as square as they come I guess, I made my 1st online sports wager.

Being new to sports betting I checked out the most trusted operation, Pinnacle by transferring $60 through NETeller. Determined to start out slow I placed a $20, 3 team parlay on what I felt was my best chance of winning.

To my surprise I WON, winning 2 of my picks and pushing the 3rd. I won $53 off of my $20 bet.

Wanting to feel like a winner, or not a loser, I ask for a $60 withdrawal.

After requesting my withdrawal to my surprise, instead of getting my money I got an email

quote:
Clients receive one free withdrawal via NETeller per month of $500 or more. Additional withdrawals, or any withdrawal for less than $500, are subject to a $15 fee.

$15 per NETeller transfer? Isn't NETeller a flat 2.9%? That would mean that it is costing them $1.74 to send me my $60, that’s almost a 1000% markup!!

Am I way off base or should a small guy like me be allowed 1 free transfer, even if it is not for $500 or more. I just dont see myself having a $500 balance any time soon.

Pinnacle has this rule, and it is clearly visible on the site.

Not at all asking to much on the part of Pinnacle.....a $300-500 minimim is basically the industry standard. Good luck to you and do not let this tarnish your offshore experience, especially with PINNACLE. A vast majority will rate PINNACLE in their top 5 of ALL offshore books.

If you're going to get further into this, my advice is to read ALL rules carefully. There are rules for withdrawals, bonus rollovers, fees for frequent transfers, etc. On top of this, the rules vary between books.
Don't post complaints about exorbidant fees though, when the fees are plainly stated. That's not fair to the Book that has been open and above board.

How did you even make a deposit without noticing it? Clicking on cashier there will tell you right away about the fees. Besides, I dont think Pinnacle pay 2.9%, probably more like a fixed fee per transaction.

That's why it's important to match up with the kind of book that suits you. Pinnacle does not want $60 transactions and their policy makes that clear. You can make 10 - $20 Neteller withdraws a day for free at a VIP type book.

You don't take a Ford to the Lexus mechanic because he's the best...same concept.

You love VIP don't you Buzz? Truth is though he is right. If you are new Sometech you may not realize it yet but some books cater to the bigger gamblers and some will cater to the lower end. Cater may be a strong word but they will work better for a certain style of player. Align yourself with some of the so called square books who not only will be okay with smaller bettors but they actually encourage it. Fees are hard to outrun on top of the regular vig when you are hit with 25% charges on withdrawals like you were here.

Not Pinnacle's fault as their fees were posted, just a miscommunication of sorts. Good luck.

fixed 2.9% is the best option available to merchants of NETeller.

How do you know what is the best option? Neteller has many individual deals, especially with their biggest merchants.

hey bud, Neteller is paying their CS ppl $100 an hour, that's why they are charging you such high fees.

Don’t get me wrong, my game was graded instantly, account was credited and once I acknowledged that I understood about the $15 fee, my money was instantly transferred to my NETeller account.

For a small timer or starting out bettor I was un-able to find the same parlay selection that I was able to find at VIP.

Thanks for helping me out Buzzsaw, you should have a affiliate link.

sometech: The books are in this biz to hopefully stay in biz and when they use outside agencies like Neteller to process money, it is going to cost someone something. Pinnacle also charges 3% on the CHARGEBACK of a credit card where as other books will charge about 5% for the DEPOSIT. GAMEDAY is one of a few that don't charge ANYTHING for Neteller or credit cards. You can withdrawl and deposit as much and often as you wish with those methods and the only cost you will see is that they are a -110 book instead of the more popular reduced vig books of -107. The reduced vig makes those books a little tighter when it comes to transactions, so they can't lose money by doing business so the customer has to take a hit on low end transactions.

Another tip is that you may find yourself a little pissed when your parlays end up with 1 stinking game that loses and the whole wager is lost as I have been accustomed to. Don't matter if I bet a 2 temaer or an 8 teamer, there ALWAYS seems to be that one game that puts the screws to you. Best advice is to bet single games as most will agree with that. If you study some teams enough the Over/Under can be very profitable, this is where the sharps and pros can make serious cash..... GOOD LUCK.
