It will drive a man to drink having his own opinion then to be talked out of it by some supposed expert,lol...There are no experts...unless your completely clueless, which in that case you probably should not gamble anyways....

Its best to have your own thoughts on who to wager on for the most part...Or stick with one person that you have followed and feel confident with...Cherry picking and being talked out of your own play will KILL YOU, not only mentally but in the wallet! Have a plan stick with it...

Its monday morning how many times will you change your mind before you get down on the Monday Nighter?

Have a plan and stick with it!

This is how it works here.

On those one game nights when I don't have a clue, which is often, I give Mrs. Jones the uniform colors and nicknames and then ask her who she likes. Then I fade her pick. This has hit about 55% to 60% this year. I have learned to never ask her if I have a lean to opinion because if she picks the team I'm leaning to, I face a conundrum.

This is also absolutely true when we go to Tampa Bay Downs, I always ask her for a horse or two she likes. Invariably her picks limp in at the end of the field except for one time the "bug boy" she picked fell off his mount right out of the gate and the riderless horse flew around the first turn right in contention but then jumped the gate back into the stable area.

If there is a bug in a race she will always pick him, because "he is out to prove himself". Never will she pick a horse carrying extra weight because "that is so unfair to the poor thing." And she really likes those big payoffs she never hits. Thus, I have learned I can safely scratch off her horse or two and limit the field a bit.

When I first met her almost of our early dates were at this track. I realized right there and then how she would be very valuable in my life.

Her pick tonight is the Giants. I had no opinion.
