Australia.

To lose the world rugby final, to the Poms, in front of your home crowd friends and family, would be a lifelong nightmare for any red blooded Aussie.

I have been brought up around rugby all of my life and i have not seen a better England side than the one that is cruising through this world cup without even breaking a sweat so far.

If you had not seen this team before this world cup you would think they are totally hyped for no good reason. This is the same team that came to Lansdowne road in Dublin for the Grand Slam decider and destroyed a very strong Irish side by around 40 points.

England went on to beat Austrailia although it was not a full strength side, when it comes to test matches, nobody goes out to experiment especially not sides with things to prove like the Aussies and the poms.

That being said Austrailia had a tough pool against Ireland and Argentina, they comfortably beat Argentina and Ireland should have probably beaten them but they won by a point. They cruised through the very fancied all blacks in the semi-finals.

The Australian defense is second to none they can absorb runners all day but i reckon if England play a tight five game up front and Wilkinson uses his boot in the right manner, they will totally disrupt the Aussie's game.

I am going to go wild and say England by 5 or more even though they are playing on Aussie turf.Do not ever under estimate the English and their pure neglect to think about what critics say, they will be there ready and waiting on Saturday morning.

I hope this helps.

England are by far the better team and should win it comfortably. They have being playing the most solid rugby for over a year now and should just be too strong for the aussies. the start is vital however and if australia can get off to a great one the crowd might make them play above themselves to hold on for a close victory. The crowd will more likely be a negative factor for the aussies as they are fully aware that this aussie side is far from the best in recent years and will turn on them when they go behind. -154 england outright is value and the 2.08 england -5.5 at betfair looks even better. England by 8+.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

i was aware of this lander - however you are talking odds for the game which include a tie - i was refering to odds for winning the event outright - kind of important given the result at full time was a tie1

did it include extra time or push? Mighty fine price all the same! Betfair's customers had england short due to the customers being mainly UK based.

It included extra time so it was a winner. Did Betfair have 3-way betting line?
