Phone in a wager last night becuause I was not near a computer.. everything goes smoothly.. I usually phone in a wager once or twice a month.. very seldom..

At the end of the call, I get the kiss of death..

" Good luck on your wager, Sir "

"FUUUUUUUCK !"

I didn't say it, but I sure thought it.

The thing is, not every time is that said to me.. so.. I swear I lose everytime they say that.

Simple solution
Tell customer service to put a memo in your account that says..
After customer gets readback pease say the following "Your pick sucks and I hope you lose sir"

Thanks for giving me the idea. I'm going to have the techies update our confirmation screen so it says, "Good luck on your wager, Sir."

GOOD LUCK IS THE WORST THING YOU CAN HEAR.. IF YOU HEAR A CLERK TELL YOU GOOD LUCK SIR, THEN YOU MIGHT AS WELL WRITE IT DOWN AS A LOSS.

I HAVE CANCELLED BETS BEFORE RIGHT AFTER PUTTING IN A PLAY AFTER A WOMAN WOULD TELL ME, GOOD LUCK SIR. SOMETIMES YOU JUST GET A BAD FEELING WHEN A LADY TELLS YOU GOOD LUCK AND YOU DON'T FEEL THE SAME ANYMORE.

GOOD LUCK IS NOT A WORD YOU WANNA HEAR AFTER PUTTING IN YOUR PLAY.

My first day on the job at the Castaways under Sonny Reizner, he intructed me to NEVER say GOOD LUCK to a customer......and never did from that point on.

A good solid does not need good luck to win.

Good luck is something that ANY trained monkey should know NOT to say.

It has nothing to do with superstition in my book, rather it makes the book sound less trustworthy.

As if it´s luck that the house 'always wins'.

Mr. K

I always told the clerks to say "Enjoy the game"

So are you saying that gamblers are suppositious? LOL

In Las Vegas it is policy for them to say "Good Luck" all the time everywhere. Even if you are buying a hot dog.

Some gamblers don't mind and others think it jinxes them.

I think Jay Leno's above is probably the best thing to say: " Enjoy the Game"

Mr K, if you lose every time a clerk says good luck on your wager, sir, I suggest you change the way you handicap your games cause your capping has to flat out suck

THOSE WERE THE DAYS, when most all my wagers had to be phoned in if I was out at bar etc. Betting before smartphones.
