If your betting an NBA total do you even bother watching?

I hope not! If so how can you stand it, especially when betting an under...Watching a game and rooting for no points to be scored is rather peculiar

NBA totals drive me nuts!

One team will be down 10 and foul right down to 3 seconds left, and another team will not bother....Good luck figuring out if and when that will happen...I know the Clippers will foul til no time remains no matter what the score, I guess thats why the are the Clippers

I do not watch it..I check the ticker at the half and with 5 mins left in 4th....I hear you there Jman I do not know how anyone can watch it on unders or overs for that matter either

I play nothing BUT totals.....I agree it can be insane to watch....but I just view it like a regular game.....where my opponent scores 4 points per minute (that comes to 192) and then I am a fav or a dog depending on the line (like if the line is 187 and I have Under then I am laying 5 points).

The endgame can be insane if it is close because of the fouling, but that is part of the excitement.

I have heart medication I take just before the 4th quarter starts, and games like the Clippers/Cavs two nights ago can take years off your life. I was watching that game and with a couple of minutes left I knew my OVER ticket was dead, that is until they decided to foul and hit a few threes as both teams combined for 18 points in the last minute or so.

Good question Journey. I find it too uncomfortable to watch a game where I have a bet on the total. Not sure why but you gave some good reasons.

Probably shouldn't be watching the side bets either, but I have gotten pretty objective there. I noticed long ago that the more I seem to care about a game, the more I seem to lose. So basically I bet flat now and I try my best not to route for either team; just take notes for the future.

Another thing, don't ever be glad your games are all looking good early...especially totals, they seem to die on me late, so damn much ...Alot of games bog down . Look at the Philly game last night, total around an unheard of 160, the game was at 91 at the half and still didn't get close...

Betting on them is about the only way I can watch an NBA game. Otherwise, most of the games are crap.

When betting NBA totals in my younger days at College, I used to sit with a calculator and figure out their point per minute oh about every 5 minutes. LOL Now when im on an UNDER it seems the more they score in the 1st half the better off I am in the end

I DO NOT WATCH ANY GAME I MAKE A BET ON. IT DOESN'T MATTER FOOT'S ,BUCKET'S, BASEBALL...I JUST CHECK THE SPORTS PAGER... I HAVE GONE THRU MORE THAN MY SHARE OF PAGER'S. BUT IT IS MUCH CHEAPER THAN A NEW T.V SET.........G.

I didnt watch a single NBA game until the playoffs last year.

Well, I guess I sorta 'watch' the games on sportsline or yahoo for 2nd half wagers.

cheater...I haven't ever paid much attention to 1st qtr plays...I am really frustrated with the ends of these games...I think it may be wiser just playing first halves as you don't get that 'mystery meat' at the end of the game...

ATX, which sportsbar is the best in Austin. I may be moving there, and I need a good spot to watch the losers go down the drain. Hopefully some decent girls to look at would be nice. My friends tell me Yellow Rose on Lamar is good. Just wondering.

1st quarters are the highest scoring quarters but that is also why th line on the 1st quarter is higher than the rest, basically a toss up.

Check the score at the end or with 1-2 mins to go maybe.
