THIS POLICY WON'T WORK... HERE'S WHY

1. The solid and established offshores I know, won't send in finacial info to Rx or anyone else - Especially where that info could be given up to say the IRS under a Courts order.

2. If this becomes an absolute 'take it or leave it' Rx policy, they will leave it, and Shrink will lose too many advertisors, so he will have to change his tune.

While a cleaver thought, this is not a practical policy and is doomed to failure.

As much as I hate to agree, I agree with you Joey. Though, I commend Shrink in his thoughts, the bottom line is always "the bottom line"!

JC ,

Hit the nail right on the head good idea but NOT practical .
For the books it would NOT be an acceptable option them giving out private information that could be used against them by the authorities under a judicial warrant .

Skirmish / J Man:

One of my biggest complaints with Rx has been the willingness to take on newcomers to offshore and promote them for a fee.

Shrink should concentrate his concerns for newer - say under 4 to 5 years offshore.

I don't think it is necessary or wise for an Oly, Cris or Grande for example, to comply with this policy, and I don't think they will.

Now what Book running into trouble is going to send 'bad numbers' to the Rx and risk having a further run on their bank.

Big books are not going to send figures, books with problems are not going to send figures, or at least not the real ones, my questions at this point is: who's going to send figures then?

Another question is how is this policy not going to be used by a book in troubles, to keep deposits coming, by sending wrong figures?

It's all about the posters making the site/forum good. The posters are good, the forum is good. Another day, Another dollar. Advertisers are needed & great, especially when you got good people all around like we have here. Many more good than bad(Posters & Sportbooks). The bad just tends to stick out more.

Joey, you are right. It won't work and is too invasive, especially for the established Don best books, etc. The more quality people we can fill these forums with, the better for the bettors. We should strive to help one another genuinely, and look for REAL facts that indicate that a sportsbook is in trouble. Rumours help nobody unless their is a foundation behind them. Used properly, these forums, and good common sense can help most people avoid a disaster. My advice, follow your instincts, and keep reasonable balances with ALL of your sportsbooks and you won't get burned like your truly did by ACES GOLD slimeball Charlie Thercocksucker. Good luck to all, and lets win!

If books continue to fall, and a few books actually start keeping and showing regularly AUDITED (really audited) escrow statements, it's only a matter of time before this becomes the norm.

TT:

A book has 20% post up & 80% credit.

The post ups = 150 dimes of deposits.

The book has 250 in the bank, verified by an accountancy firm. So far so good.

Lets take this senario one step further:

Post ups lose 30 dimes for the week, credit/ wise guys win 500 for the week.

Same thing week 2....

The book is done and nobody can figure it out.

Bottom line is the books could send whatever they wanted in.... does anyone think BM would have send in figures showing they're broke? It was an idea worth discussing but Joey's right, there's no way they cooperate on this one.
