With all the injuries Orlando has suffered this season, do you think it was fair to fire Doc Rivers?

I hope I convinced McIrish to stay away from Utah last night.

But seriously they just don't seem to have any chemistry on that team, injuries or not they look lost on the offensive side of the game with players afraid to take the open shots and passing instead, they are playing not to lose instead of playing to win, thus their 1-10 record.

10 game loosing streak having the best SG on the league, a great big man on Howard and Gooden is playing well, i think the players are there for this team to be better, you know have the talent, try something new, get a new coach, since you can't get Hill healthy

First of all, it was ridiculous to fire Doc Rivers from that pathetic team they have asembled right now. Second, DonB, I respect yr opinions of course, but to say Juwan Howard is a "great big man" is going a bit far. When I saw in the offseason that Orlando signed him, I could not believe they would stoop so low. This guy has done nothing for teams. He puts up decent numbers, but he just seems like a "bad seed". Ive been saying for 2~3 years that if the Magic only had an "above average" center to go along with the talent they already have, they could go far. They had plenty of offense, just needed one big man underneath that could rebound and block some shots. They should of made an attempt at Mutombo a few years ago when they had the chance, and even as much as he's going downhill now, he's still much better than what they have and have even attempted to get. If they would of never traded Ben Wallace for Granny Hill, they would be in great shape with all of the young talent they have now.

Hache Man. With all due respect, every GM in the league would have traded Ben Wallace and Chucky Atkins for Grant Hill at the time the move was made. Wallace didn't come into his own as a dominant rebounder until he was given the minutes with the Pistons!

Your right Charlie, I didn't mean that he was a great player at the time. I just said If they hadn't of traded him. Why, Do you believe that he would not of become the player he is if he had remained in Orlando? Also, the only reason Detroit traded him for the 2 "lesser" players at the time is because they just wanted to get something in return, or they were just going to lose Grant to free agency and nothing to show for it.

You are correct, it was a sign-and-trade deal. It's hard to tell if Wallace would have blossomed in Orlando. It just so happened Detroit didn't have ANY rebounders, so Wallace was able to grab them ALL!!!! Too bad the man has NO offensive ability. He would be a MONSTER!!!

Its about time they fired Doc Rivers. The players he had a hand in acquiring have all been busts. The Magic traded away McGrady's friend, Miller who is a decent player. Dumb.

Miller is weak. I have met Doc rivers and I know he is a great motivator. His players love him. He over the years has actually over-achieved. Just my humble opinion.

The Magic have underachieved the last 3 years. I've cashed each year on the Under reg season win total. This year I made a big play on Orlando Under 46½ wins. Thanks Doc for running the Magic into the ground! BTW the players don't like Doc Rivers "my way or the highway" coaching style.

chuck, your perspective on rivers is completely off here. My best friend from high school roomed with him at Marquette university, and I have friends in LA that have told me on numerous occasions how well like he is by his players and fellow counterparts in the NBA. I strongly believe you are wrong here, but then again, you are entitled to your opinion.

Weekendalki, I am telling you exactly what the players told an ESPN reporter as reported on Sportscenter. Have you seen the Magic play in their last 10 games? Maybe not. Let me tell you the Magic lost all 10 games. They quit on Rivers. They are horrible. What a way to show Rivers how well they like him.
