Between picking off bad lines, past posting and the fact that each player must monitor and post his own record...many Rx posters have shown that they cannot be trusted even in a free contest.

I want out. You can give my entry to an alternate or I will create a thread advertising the entry.

I'm 1-1 and in the South Division so hopefully I can find a replacement.

I suggest one person from each division monitor their division.

I was away most of the day as the power was out....But I will go back and check each post....

I will have to make the rule on editing and posting after the official game time at this point, since it has already become an issue...I was hoping we could be above this bullsh1t...

THERE WILL BE NO EDITING FROM HERE ON...A POSTED SELECTION AFTER GAME TIME IS A NO PLAY! If a game is listed to start at 7:35 and the selection is at 7:41 it does not count! I guess I gave to much faith that we could be above this sortive bullcrap!

Any obvious bad line will not count either...

Fish-

It is unreal what's going on in this contest.

Kiss says "I never visit the "live lines" section of the forum"...isn't that where we are to select our lines!!! It still has not been resolved whether or not he could get his line from the RxLines page.

Jesus edits a post after tip off. (Jesus, I know you said that you didn't change your selection but use your head.)

And there have been a few others. At least VVV posted that his initial selection was a bad line.

Frankly, this was the first "pick em" type contest that I've entered at the Rx and it's just not worth it. I certainly don't need the 1k and I'm too honest of a person to deal with the few folks that make this less fun and more challenging since you have to monitor every pick, line, time posted.

BTW, Journeyman my issues have NOTHING to do with the way you've run the contest. It has eveything to do with some of the posters at this forum.

Every now and then I forget that most gamblers are busted. This means that many of the posters are and will do anything to gain an edge to get a few bucks rolling their way. A bare minimum we probably have a few angle shooters.

Yes indeed. Hate to say it but can't blame Swami. Of course the great majority are fine but always one or two who can't compete fairly if there is money on the line. I like contests for the thrill of competing, I like to tee it up with men to see who has what. If there is a prize at the end that's even better. However when you get guys betting lines that are off 63 points and then persisting in asking "does it count or not" it takes the fun out of it. Geez man, does someone need to tell you that bet isn't good and/or fair to anyone else. Some will do anything to win.

Almost feel like you are taking bread out of their mouth or something when you beat them.

Yeah, real classy. Blame the posters for the f(u)cked up contests. Man I was really fooled by this joker. I thought he was like George Bailey and Shrink was Mr. Potter when he first was hired here. Turns out he was more like Dirk Diggler and Shrink, Larry Flynt.

I'm not surprised one bit at this, and I fully understand Swami's position.

When we did the OutHouse/RR charity "cap-off" (meaning you can't win a fuking dime) we had the same issues.

If you would give even the most minimal effort before shooting off your blustery mouth you would see that I was trying to draw attention to the bad line and the need to ammend the rules. The very first line of the rules says that any line listed on the RxLivelines will be accepted as a good line.

When I saw the line off by 63 points I thought it would be a good idea to bring it to the attention of the contest administrator. Never did I beg for the play to stand. On the contrary, I asked that the play not stand and the rule corrected.

McIrish will tell you of how some people around here are nothing but pathetic fools when it comes to trying to get free money...Just look at the recently concluded RX football championship contest when you had some clowns trying to weasel their way to a win...

When you run a contest you have to have a person who has the time to check for bozos editing post, past posting, or using lines that are made up...Mr. McIrish did one hell of a job scoring and of course making the right decisions in the Football Championship contest...Looks as if this contest needs the same leadership....

I called it early yet again. Patwick complains about contest cheats and the real problem is they can't even post a correct line.

XXXXX XXXXX

Amazing that the Rx sheeple keep falling for the same old trick time and time and time and time again...

Actually the line was fed to us from Canbet. These lines are NEVER manually entered by anyone on the RX.

Exactly my point, I guess. This is why we need the rule change and I was just trying to point that out. Sure wish I hadn't, though.

Anyway, thanks for your work with the lines. A nice addition to the site.

I agree, we need a rule change.

In fact, there is a bug resulting in bad lines today. Pinnacle has re-used NBA rotataion numbers in the feed for a few NCAAF games (501-508). So all the NBA totals for Pinnacle in this range are show the wrong data.

I wasn't aware the rotation numbers could be shared, so I'm not sure if this is my error for not discrimation by sport, or pinnacle's error for reusing them.
