Something odd happened to my computer. I usually search stuff on google and yahoo, but when I go to those sites, it brings up a totally different search engine now called "RoyalSearch. net"

It's weird because in the browser, it says google. com or yahoo. com but RoyalSearch. net is shown on the screen.

Can someone please help me. How do I get my google and yahoo pages back?? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!! Appreciated it.

I was wondering, my address bar(the place where you type in web addresses) on my Internet explorer is missing. Anyone know how to get it back?

Right click the grey area (where the address bar should have been) and make sure to check the option for "Address Bar".

I use the popular AdAware from Lavasoft (because I like to support socialist countries). It's not perfect - but it's free (at least one version is).

Glenn,
Does it show it as clicked? If not, did you install the Google Toolbar (or something similiar) that could "lock" the "toolbar" and prevent you from changing it's layout?

Thanks, good info. I got my info from this site to fix my spyware or hijackware problem:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html

For the address bar, i had it "locked", i just "unlocked" it, and the address bar showed up.

Thanks everyone.

You can also get a free Registry cleaner from a search engine. I have Reg-vac. Cleaning your registry makes your PC run alot more effiently, fast, and improves your multitasking abilities.
