A lot of their business isn't actually done at PartyPoker.com. They provide "skins" to other companies & only make a % of the rake.

Most of the traffic is coming from Party. The feeds do ok, but I don't think they are even 25% of the traffic.

I heard Paradise was making nearly 100 mil annually before their games went to s**t and Party stole their lunch.

Paradise didn't have any competition when they started. They never marketed to keep up w/ the pack. That's why they've been passed up.

Old,

They still dont. They dont even advertise an affiliate program. Party Poker is mucho aggressive in getting their product out on every single site on the web. Unbelievable marketing campaign they put on and for damn good reason. Rake = loot!

zackzk I didn't believe it either. But I heard from very good sources that those numbers were real. I guess if you have that many people playing legitimately, that you could rake in that amount of coin. I am quite envious, but the numbers are the numbers. I am just hoping to hit my teaser this sunday. Millions are not in my vocabulary.

Maximum number of money players in 24 hour period is over 5,000. Say average is 3,000 per 24 hours. Conservatively that's 300 tables dealing 50 hands per hour and raking $1.50 per hand. That's over $500,000 a day.

Agree with that also. I guess with the # of players, it may take a handful to process.

I played with PP before the explosion caused by the WPT broadcasts and advertising. Even then Party and the other large poker sites (Stars, Paradise) were slow to process cashouts. A minimum of a couple of hours. The fastest by far was WSEX.

The 182 million in revenue (not profit) is probably in the ballpark. My guess would be that is a annualized number based on a run rate and they will probably rake less than that this year since the MAJOR traffic didn't start until well after the year began.

With that said, I would LOVE to have a piece of this site.

After thinking about this a second I thought about running a few #s..let's see...

- 182 million/365 = 498,630 per day
- Max Rake $3 - call the average 1.5 (poster above)
- Raked hands per hour per table - 50 (for a full game, more for shorthanded)
- 1.5 X 50 = 75 bucks per hour per table
- Tables run say 20 hours of solid action
- 75 X 20 = 1500 revenue per table per day
- 498,630/1500 = 332 tables

I could see it. If you include the effect of short-handed tables, single table tournaments, multiple table tournaments I would not be shocked is they were able to rake 182 million.

Just a thought here, I'm not sure how long that can last though. The money has to come from somewhere and with people busting out and the rate of new customers added slowing down, I can't see the site generating those kinds of numbers for the long haul. Regardless, they will still rake in a bunch of cash though.

On the profit side, I bet the MARGINS are HUGE!!! Customer service is run out of India, hardware is cheap, and I cannot imagine that they have too many highly paid executives. VERY NICE BUSINESS!!!
