Another one: dump the meaningless 'Rio Open' line and replace it with either CRIS, Olympic or Grande (even Pinnacle), and then it might mean something.

Han,
It's a great idea, BUT it would involve data warehousing ....

if Kenny and Marty want to open that that checkbook for Oracle (and it's 40K/processor pricetag) it could happen

Jazz, I am sorry to disappoint you, but the rio opening line isn't going anywhere. You may think it is lame and meaningless, but what you may be unaware of is the fact that having an opening line as a benchmark was RIO's idea. No other book bothered to contact the RX with that idea or any of the other ideas that Rio has contributed to the feed. You may think that a book that has irrefutably given away more money in prizes in RX contests than any other book,(feel free to contact the Shrink if you would like to dispute this), and also gives its customers a free half point in football, and pays faster or as fast as any book in the world is lame, but we can assure you that Rio isn't going anywhere, and will continue to be salient throughout the live lines feed for the duration. Thank you.

Good point Shill. Rio/Skybook never seems to get any credit from the common forum bashers like Jazz. the BL here is that Rio/Skybook has been around forever, and they are solid. If they did contribute to the live lines then their opener should be allowed there even if they don't open first. (Jazz, this isn't exactly a Don BEST Y2K audience.) But then again you probably don't know what that is. the RX live lines is for the casual bettor who wants to have an opening line as a reference. If rio/Skybook has contributed to the live lines greatly, then kudos to them. Also, yes, i agree that they don't get nearly the credit they deserve in terms of give aways. they are clearly the most generous book in these forums in how much they give away in contests. I have a friend who hit them for 10k on a free parlay last year, and picked up the money the next day. I would love more books to have great contests like that. Hollywood, and BHB seem very active. Even blue grass is very generous. Let's not forget that. these books don't have to give away shit, and the one's that do deserve credit where credit is due. People want to bash, bash the books who contribute nothing. and to you Mr. Negative Jazz,

Great job on the live lines. The only useless, and I mean absolutely useless waste of space, is Rio's Opening line. It is really a shame you cannot get an opener that has at least an iota of signifigance. Cascade or Grande, anything but Rio. Great job otherwise.
