Anyone else think Madden and Al Michaels should be put out to pasture?

Does anyone else agree with me that Monday night football is losing it's excitement and entertainment value? I think this has been the case for about 6 years now, it's so god damn boring! I sware the Monday Night Football audience has to be made up of atleast 60% gamblers or if not a gambler, you have someone watching the game that has some sort of a bet on it.

It reminds me of when Saturday Night Live started going down hill and has never really regianed any momentum.

MY SOLUTION!

Let the crew at ESPN (ABC'S sister company) take over Monday Night Football. I for 1 have watched an entire Sunday night game without having any vestive interest in the game. The announcers for Sunday night's ESPN games make Al Michaels and BIG HANDS Madden look like 3rd string announcers that you would get for a Texans Bungals matchup.

My dream team for this DREAM would be Chris Berman, Joe Thiesman, Paul Mcguire..

JUST A DREAM!

MNF needs howard david badly. That guy reaks of football. I love Madden, but he belongs on Sundays. Keep Michael, bring in howard david. Keep f'n comedians and broads off the game.

Keep Madden on for the art work on the chalkboard and pair Michaels up with some fresh talent from ESPN

Liked Madden but no more. This should be the last Turducken year.

Michaels is a different story. He is good and he relates to us.I seem to sense the discomfort he has with Madden.

I would roll the dice on some new talent and would bring in Dick Butkus as the analyst. The man has acting experience and is comfortable in front of the mic and camera. He might know the game just a bit. And he talks tough with da Chicago accent. I like that.

As for sideline reporter I would replace Lisa with Tonya Harding. Lose a bit on looks but once again add some toughness and in this case some trash appeal. You say you would'nt want to see Tonya for a season? You lie. You need a girl whose been in the trenches and can relate to punches, chop blocks and things like that. She would add to the circus atmosphere if nothing else.

Either that or, seriously, add that blonde girl pro beaverfoots quarterback from the Miami area. She's hot enough and knows the game. She's been in front of the camera and comes off pretty good from what I recall.

I have been a Madden fan for years! And I am still a fan! I think he is the best in the business.

Madden is the man!!
I would like to see some more talent used from ESPN. But it would be a mistake to take madden off MNF.

You can tell Michaels is uncomfortable along side Madden. They just don't work well together.

With over 1:30 to go with the Eagles driving at the Greenbay 3o or 40 Madden said that they should spike the ball on 1st down, and the Eagles had a timeout or 2 to burn, yet Madden wants them to burn a down with that much time left and the Packers defense reeling. Unbelievable.

Michaels is still great in my opinion, but Madden just doesn't have a clue anymore. He usually sees a completely different game than 99% of the rest of the world, and just babbles on about the most ridiculous things.

How about no sound at all? And no commercials? Now that would be nice.
It just hasn't been the same since Howard Cosell left.

His M.O. is to pick one or two stars from each team and spent 3 hours sucking their asses over and over. He adds NOTHING to that broadcast. At least Theismann can offer some insight once in a while. The play by play guy whose name I forget is just another yakking head.

But then I like Michaels/Madden so I'm in the minority here.
