LegalPlay Entertainment Inc. said its subsidiary SkillPoker.com Inc. will launch the SkillPoker online card room for real money play at 5PM PST / 8PM EST, Thursday, November 13, 2003.

The launch of SkillPoker follows months of development, beta testing and extensive player feedback.

Multilevel and single level poker tournaments will be available for real money play, and there will also be special promotions for real money players which will be featured at www.SkillPoker.com.
Online poker has been seen substantial growth in the past two years, with many online casinos and software licensing companies now adding Poker to their portfolio. Unlike Poker played at online casinos, online Poker rooms pit players against each other, so there is more chance of winning for the better players.

Despite the ongoing attempt to stamp out online gambling in the US, the company hopes to capitalize on the growth of online poker through its patent pending and trade marked SkillPoker system. The interesting point here is that SkillPoker.com says its game is skill based, so therefore it will not be affected by proposed legislation.

SkillPoker.com will earn revenue through tournament fees paid by players in its own card room and through the sale of licenses of its intellectual property and proprietary software.@@
