I have never seen the "public" win so many Sun night, Mon night, and other isolated games. Usually, crazy things happen in the books favor. This year, just the opposite. It continued last night, as my local was covered with SL and the over. How long can this continue?

It's not just the odd games. The SB's are winning the majority of their big sweats. Carolina nd Jacksonville on Sunday. Last Monday was pretty even, tonight the books will need the Eagles and the under pretty big.

kerry- The books, whether they be street bookies of offshore, are doing just fine this football season. They would take the results so far this season and be more than happy to have that every year.

Just look at yesterday. The world loved Tampa Bay and they go down and then some other popular picks such as Minnesota and Indianapolis go down and then they bump off a bunch of teasers when the Giants do their laundry and get whacked by Atlanta. You're correct that some of those popular favorites on Sunday night and Monday night have covered but overall the books have had a nice NFL season.

Totally true, though you couldn't say this two weeks ago. September and October were terrible months for the sportsbooks.

No, offshore.

Take a look at SportingBet's SEP and OCT North AMerican numbers. With more action than anyone, they represent a statistically significant sample. September and October were brutal months about 30% lower than normal.

Monday is traditionally the end of the week during football season.

Please don't base your experience exclusively on Sportingbet. With their large dependance on the processing of credit cards, which makes them a huge haven for the square player, you really can't use them as an appropriate point of reference in the argument.

Hmmm... maybe so! But if that's the case, the squares are making the wiseguys look bad - because the squares had a terrific two months to begin the season.

Also, the 'large dependence on credit cards' is not so much a dependence as it is a dominance. The ability to bring in money is the single most important factor in a successful operation. SportingBet is the biggest because of that.

Come back from what? The books have killed the players the past two weekends like NEVER before. They're just adding to the take.
