No player in baseball had more RBI than Murray during the 1980s, and Murray had the most homers of any American League slugger in that decade. Who is the only player to collect more hits than Murray in the 1980s?

Murray was one of 12 children, and four of his brothers also played professional baseball. Which of Eddie's brothers also played in the major leagues?

Murray had phenomenal success during his career when the bases were loaded. He batted .399 with 19 homers and a .739 slugging percentage in more than 238 career at-bats in that situation. Murray's 19 career grand-slams are second on the all-time list to which Hall of Fame slugger?

Grand Slam Homers - Lou Gerhig - 23, Murray was 2nd with 19, McCovey 3rd with 18.

Eddie's younger brother Rich Murray, played with the Giants in 1980 and 1983, batting .216 with four homers in 57 games.

Journeyman- Barry Sanders was a good NFL running back but highly overrated. He won one playoff game in his career, couldn't play on grass or in bad weather and had far too many carries end behind the line of scrimmage. He was no threat catching the ball out of the backfield and was taken out of the game in goal line situations on many occasions. A good player? Yes. A great player? No.
