Hi Guys,,,, I know its different per the Book per the Game,,,,,
Soooo for instance,,,

How much would it take
to move the line of the Superbowl 1 point?

How much would it take to move OLY's Line 1 point on a Miami OH St. game,,,,

How much would it take to move OLY's New Mexico St. Arizona game 1 pt.,,,,

all the best guys,,, Im just curous about specific line moves,,,, Earlier today,,, I was thinking about the Laker Over at 179,,, within the span of 20 minutes 15 books moved to 180-181-182,,,
I caught the over at 180,,, but Geesh,,, what kindof GROUP and what kindof MONEY can move 10-15 Books Immediately to 182??

Tate, I would say that it varies greatly from book took book. Several books will move more than a point solely because the Don best screen moved without any money at all. If we are talking a book that doesn't move off of air, and the bookmaker has no real opinion, it would probably be two max bets. In other words, in the NBA if a book has a max of 5k, it would be two people coming in and betting 5k onthe same game while there is no movement on the don best screen. However, to answer your question, there is really no hard and fast rule. Some books will move a game 1 point off a 3k bet from a guy they respect. Basically there are so many factors that one can't predict exactly what will happen. Good luck!

Money isn't the issue. Its who makes the bet.

Sooo much money is on the line,,, I would Imagine the books could and WOULD shuffle between themselves to balance all action....

Drunk is correct, it's who makes the bet. A square can bet $50k on a game and it might not move. A sharp can bet $5k on a game and it will move.

ahhhhh.......this is one of the most closely guarded secrets of the booking world it seems..........

the above answers, are true it varies from book to book........

as for some shops.......they will tell you upfront what the limits are ie. if i want 10k on a game i can get 5dimes at 6 and 5dimes at 6' (very good chance they move 1/2pt per 5k........in most situations.....

in a perfect world the book wouldnt gamble. they would move the line based on money. but generally it depends on who places the bet.

GRINGO...........squares are the ones who should be taxed the most on large bets

ie.. 50k bet
25k at 7
25k -7'

Dime,,,,
thanks,,,, this is great,,,, I have been told by others that specific books would move their line according to which side they took,,, and I have been told that those same books would NOT move the line,,, they would BAIT their other clients to the other side,,, and NOT cover their action,,, Obviously thats the riskiest of the scenarios,,,, I have been paying attention to the Scripts Live lines,,

Which I really DIG!!!

and Im curous as to how some Books Trend in specific directions,,,

all the best,,
